Good service cheap and cheerful. You get what you pay for. Clean room surprisingly comfortable. Shared bathroom not ideal.
The breakfast was atrocious! The eggs had been overcooked and the bacon was sour.... The room was dirty, and it was very difficult to open and close the small window, as I had to climb over a desk and deep window sill..... The location was run down, with many closed shops.
They don't change sheets, dirty and hair on them, some parts of blanket was smelling like a rotten fish, I guess from previous customers wiping with it their private parts or smth Idk. If you wanna feel like you're sleeping in garbage can whole night - book this place. Horrible experience
There was hairs and stains on the bed sheets as soon as we arrived, then at 1 am a guest banged on the door, there was a gas leak and we had to evacuate, the night porter didn’t bother to inform the guest and there was no fire procedure and thankfully a guest helped us out because 40 minutes after the call went through we was still in the building unaware, since then I have been trying to contact the manager who keeps avoiding my calls. There is a lot of late pubs around the area and the windows are old so be sure to be kept awake by screaming drunk people. Shocking service
OYO Gothenburg Hotel is a cozy place to stay just outside of Edinburgh. It’s conveniently located with easy access to taxis, and the Italian restaurant inside the hotel serves delicious food. There’s also a bar located right underneath the hotel, which adds to the convenience. The rooms are warm and comfortable, and the area around the hotel offers a good variety of dining options, including Chinese, Indian, and a few other restaurants. The only downside was the shared shower facilities, but overall, it was a pleasant stay and a great value for the location.
Because it doesn't serve breakfast on Saturdays, the rooms are not warm,the staff don't have time to listen to guests,the Internet is not available WiFi without Internet connection and the television service is not functional. Medium rear beef at the restaurant is basical

Poor! The only pleasant thing about our stay was Scott who checked us in welcoming and friendly. The room was a bit of a mess in terms of furniture, we had a small cafe style table that if you farted near it it will fall over. No string on the light above the bed. The stairs to the rooms were a bit of a health hazard unless you have the vision of a fox. The shared shower/toilet was terrible I would have been quicker standing in the rain to wash as the trickle of water from the shower is pathetic and also the temp control on the shower is really non existent if I wanted my totties boiled I would have used a pot and pan. No one around to ask and even the staff we did see could not have been any less helpful really, no coffee in the morning as apparently no one asks for coffee so they don't put the machine on. Also advised not to eat in the restaurant by the delivery driver. Maybe OK if you are desperate for a short over night but no more than that. No one available to actually complain or discuss anything with
We used this place prior to flying from Edinburgh Airport, we were met by lovely staff, location was good for us and room was clean and ok just the bed wasn't very comfortable.
Amazing staff/owners real sense of family could not do enough for you. Food great place looks really different from when last in. Really enjoyed my night here. Get along for Friday Steak night I'm definitely going back just for that! Drink prices really reasonable too. Thanks
