   Disgusting. Had a flood from above property - no hot water or electricty for days. Had to wait over a month to get any action. Living in extreme damp with black mould on walls and my belongings. Myself, my children and pets were all sick. I was told to run the heating with windows open to dry it out - at great expense. Was told I would get compensation but they have now refused. I was warned by the contractors who tried to help that this agency is unprofessional and would try to scam me.

He has been so helpful in guiding us through the tenant vetting process, and has even stayed late to finish documents so that we could pay the deposit & have the lease finalised before we left for a long weekend away.    I have been using the Flat Company to oversee a property in Edinburgh for decades. I have always found them exceedingly helpful in every interaction. Brian Sandilands has proved particularly helpful. As someone who lives overseas and has to submit a tax return at a different time of year, Brian has proved extraordinarily efficient and without fail responds to a request the same day and usually within the hour. They are a great team and I recommend them highly.

The property managers (first Lauren M. and then David C.) have always dealt with questions/issues promptly and professionally. Also had no problem whatsoever getting my entire deposit back at the end of the tenancy, which is not always as straightforward with other letting agencies.

   We have worked as a contractor for The Flat Company for several years and I can honestly say that they are in a totally different league to others. They treat every landlord with honesty and integrity and offer a far more personal relationship than most – vital with the ever-changing legislation that people have to deal with. Also, there are no hidden charges. Maintenance is carried out when necessary, not as a means to just make money as other letting agencies seem to believe. I deal with their tenants on a regular basis and they really do look after their homes well and are clearly well chosen and referenced. The Fixflo database they have invested in keeps everyone in the loop and ensures that mistakes aren’t made.    I live in a flat managed by this company from April and for now every think is perfect. I had no issues with them. From the begging the process was so well managed. i got the keys on time. And every time I ask for a document or something else, I get an answer during the two days following my request. My relationship is mostly with David and I would like to thank him for the outstanding customer service that he gives us. Thank you very much David :).
