Great soft play for all ages. My kids age 2 and 6 love it and can play independently whilst I feel I can see them from the seating area. The play and meal deal is a good deal for after school

We visit this softplay regularly and always recommend it to friends. We were at the Halloween party with friends a few weeks ago and had a brilliant time. On that occasion I messaged ahead via Facebook to ask about food allergy options because I knew my friends kids would be eating (I usually feed my daughter before we go due to her needs) and was advised that there is a risk of contamination and to speak with an advisor on the day. Luckily my daughter was too busy enjoying herself and didn’t want food at the event. This week, we came back for a play date, again with friends who were ordering food. I went to the counter to place an another order, I had already bought cakes and juice for the adults and explained to the staff member that I had brought home cooked chicken goujons for my daughter because she has several food allergies. She is actually due in hospital next week for tests to determine her exact allergens, so we are having to be extremely strict with what she eats. I made it clear that I was happy to order more food so we were still paying customers, I simply needed her to have something safe. The young staff member said she would need to check with a supervisor. She turned and spoke to another young girl first, which already felt awkward, and then went over to two ‘supervisors’ sitting a couple of tables away from where we were seated. The looks of annoyance and disgust on their faces were very obvious, and neither of them approached me or even acknowledged me to discuss it. Instead, they sent the young girl back to say “it’ll be allowed this time but it won’t be allowed again.” I explained (again) that they cannot provide safe food for my daughter and that I was asking them before she ate anything, but the message didn’t change. I was left feeling embarrassed, judged, and disappointed. The attitude of the supervisors and the lack of professionalism really took me by surprise, especially when this was clearly a genuine medical and safety issue, not someone trying to avoid buying food. It would be great to see this softplay follow in the footsteps of many others and introduce at least a small gluten and dairy-free option on the menu. More and more children have food allergies and offering a couple of safe choices isn’t just good customer service — it’s inclusive. At the moment it feels quite discriminatory that young children with medical dietary needs can’t enjoy food alongside their friends. Even one or two suitable options would make a huge difference to families like ours who simply want our children to feel included and safe. To be told that the food could be contaminated does not give me confidence in ordering anything from your menu for her. It’s such a shame, because we normally enjoy coming here, but this experience has really put me off. A little empathy, clarity, and a direct conversation from the managers would have gone a long way. Also to add. My friend ordered a kids meal, there were only 4 tables occupied in the whole place and he waited nearly 25mins for chips and nuggets. When he approached the girl at the counter she said “aw the battery must be dead on your alert”, so his food had been sitting for ages. Nobody had the common sense to shout him or approach our table. Whilst 5 members of staff stood up at the entrance carrying on and on their phones.

This venue has lots to do for all ages. It’s clean and has staff doing regular cleaning. The toilets are immaculate and the baby play area is one of the cleanest and well maintained I’ve been in. Coffee is lovely. Had a fire evacuation at our visit today and I must say , as rubbish as it was having the kids day cut short, we were very impressed at how calm and quickly the staff got everyone out safely. Considering a lot of staff are younger, they jumped into action very well! We all got a voucher for a free time to return which was good as a lot of places wouldn’t have bothered. Definitely recommend!

The equipment and the meals are really good for the money however the price is very expensive for 4 and up as I classify a 4 year old as a toddler as they're still nursery age. If it was 4 years same price as 3 then I would have gave it 5 star. The staff are lovely though very friendly. They also need to get coconut milk as they have other options ie oat and almond but would be good id they had coconut.

Ok see staff cleaning windows and glass in doors but baby areas absolutely filthy toys sticky and cuddly toys need removed. Don’t know when last hoovered or toys cleaned in this day . Needs a deep clean then kept clean. Come on nice soft play letting yourself down Mum ,gran foster mum use loads soft plays

Horrible customer service. We have waited 40+ minutes for food each time for it to have been sitting getting stale for over 20 minutes at the back of the kitchen when we have questioned where it is. Manager response when questioned where our food was, was that “we have had food sitting for over 20 minutes before”. On a quiet day 2 other families were also questioning where their food was. We have been previously and when trying to find a staff member they were all standing outside “with a delivery”. No apology, no resolution for the issues.

Terrible staff, service awful… ordered burger, cashier ran it up as a cheese burger said to her and the attitude was terrible. Sorry for spending almost £10 on kids burger and kids nuggets. Food came with no juice or toy. We sorted that not like it was busy staff literally standing talking to other staff and looking like there in a daze! Gave me a white bucket to pick a toy her words were we only have this rubbish! Sat down to find that I had a cheese burger with no chips. Really couldn’t make this up! Went over and again felt I was an inconvenience- manager/ owner came over after I asked for him and he says I’m rude as I called his staff incompetent- which I’m my opinion after 6 simple mistakes feel is a valid assessment. Was asked to leave as the manager had no conflict training. Staff need training which I put at the feet of the manager/owner. Maybe if he was on floor rather than hiding in the back he might be able to control his team better. Service 0 stars, food 0 stars, staff 0 stars overall avoid, wish I had seen the reviews on this site about poor service before visiting - only saving grace I got all my money back!!

My 2 yr old grandchild had a great time at Kids Complex at the midweek morning 2 hour session. Lots of different things and areas to climb and explore. The toddlers area worked very well - could have done with a few more balls in the small ball pool tho'. The staff were kind and respectful of food intolerances. The tables were clean. The place was not crowded at all which was ideal for the small children to be able to explore freely without fear of being crashed into by bigger, faster, older children all the time. Great to have this place locally :-)
