Super to have a "free" outdoor cinema that's easy to get to. However it's not actually free (there's a bunch of booking charges) and then they won't let you bring in your own outside food and drink. Make sure to bring your own chairs or cushions if you plan to watch a full movie else it will get quite uncomfortable.

Great venue, great location. The steward staff were on a bit of a power trip though. They forget they're mainly for health and safety. Not to confiscate plastic containers in a park.

My child went to see Grease with her friends in the open air cinema. They paid for their tickets and got food for the movie all to be kicked out before the movie even started for no good reason. Apparently it was because they were not accompanied by an adult but this wasn't made clear as a rule . They were accompanied in by an adult when they got in but the adult had to leave which they didnt know was not allowed . All their parents were working as it was a normal working day for us (so unable to pick them up till the movie was done). They ended up getting the train which was a big pain. I would be more concerned about my child's safety out in town ,on their own whilst trying to navigate home, than at an organised event that was well supervised. They did not live in the area so it was not a short trip home. It was an awful experience to have especially as their first time in town on their own. I think it was unnecessary to kick out responsible children not making trouble at all.

Really impressed with the set-up here. Superior to a lot of other festival type things I've been to. I'd even go back in bad weather ! Staff very good. Just brilliant overall.

The left ventricle in the heart of the south side. A great setting for community led events.

Terrific events for kids, dancing, sports, pottery etc. The staff could not be more helpful or enthusiastic. I had a beer while watching a live gig and it was ice cold and brought to my seat. Been back repeatedly for live kids shows and they have all been great. If I had to make a complaint it would be that they aren't open all year or at least for all holidays! Five stars absolutely all day long. A great asset to the local community and a credit to the organisers and staff.

Really great venue - seating (on the stone steps) is really well spaced out. Service is great too when ordering, staff very attentive. Prices really reasonable too. We went to watch a movie and it was all really well organised. Be careful though on sunny days, this is literally all open and outdoor so keep that in mind. Events here are brilliant, and Queens Park is a great place to be. Easy to spend an entire day here. Bring a picnic! There’s loads of parking round the perimeter too.

They really have made a cool spot here. I can't imagine it'll be used much over the winter, but on a summers day it's a great place to have a mini festival. Concrete on the ground, so it's not as messy as a field. They had a huge bar set up and was really fast to get served. They had a few food stalls too. Great location being in the heart of the southside. I had a great night.
