   Lovely staff. Brilliant gym. My wee girl hurt her wrist not long ago whilst playing badminton with her dad here, and the staff member who gave first aid to her was absolutely amazing with her. Calmed her down, gave first aid and even asked how she was next time we were in.

   This comment is about the EV charging pods, not the actual JW Sports Centre. The chargers (22kW and 50kW) are owned/operated by ChargePlace Scotland. I registered weeks ago and have a CPS card. Some weeks ago, I went there to charge as my car was down to 17% but none of the EV chargers recognised my CPS card. Even worse, none of them recognised my debit card. I was desperate and had to call the CPS customer care number, and luckily my call was answered. I was told that my account had been locked for some unknown reason. The gent was helpful and he unlocked my account, and I was finally able to charge my car.

   It has a surprisingly large number of sports halls, including a wee gym and a squash court. It's not the most modern and could do with having a more accessible drinking fountain, but it's an excellent local resource.

   Covid-19 ready site. This review was left by one of our customers attending a class: Just back from my 2nd circuit at John Wright Sports Centre. I was terrified the first time.....but really - it is incredible safe. You walk into the studio one person at the time (wearing your mask) with more than 2 metres distance in a one way system. Each participant has a dedicated square marked on the floor 3x3m. Between each square is an extra half metre. The staff opens all the doors so you dont touch anything before you are in your wee square. Everyone is turning the same way. Only those pre-booked is allowed in. Everything required for the session is laid out for you in advance - cleaned by dedicated member of SLL staff. When the class is over, you walk out through the firedoor wearing your mask. There is a hand sanitizer. The equipment is cleaned by a dedicated member of staff. The classes are staggered so you dont meet participants from other classes. I was worried about coming back. I was worried if it would be safe enough. I cant believe the miles they have gone at John Wright to make it safe. Tonight was 45min tabata (HIIT) and to be honest - I forgot about corona for the first time in 6 months trying to breethe in set six of the squat jumps. I can only say - if in doubt - do like me. Come and see it once for yourself and Im sure you will agree. Much safer than some of the pictures and videos I have seen from other places. You get what you pay for - and safety when exercising is my priority and John Wright ticks all the boxes. Thank you SLL and the team at John Wright. Next week a visit to the gym when it opens.
