Gorgeous venue! The atmosphere is so charming and there is a lot of space to wait in the courtyard or cafe before shows. The entrance is welcoming and theyβve taken a lot of care to decorate in an aesthetically appealing way. Staff was enthusiastic and helpful. The theatre was very comfortable for audience members with great sight lines. Great stage with beautiful lighting. If you want to wait to greet cast members after, the cafe has a lot of options and is a cool place to chill. Thank you!

Visited during at the end of the fringe. Friendly staff , you could feel the fizz of anticipation of festival finishing. Nice venue and stage. Relaxed bar with student vibe where ordering a pint or a chamomile tea is equally acceptable

Bedlam Theatre in Edinburgh is a unique and historic venue known for its vibrant student-run productions. Housed in a former church, the theatre's Gothic architecture adds character to every performance. The intimate setting allows for a close connection with the actors, making each show feel personal and engaging. The theatre is run by the Edinburgh University Theatre Company, and their passion for the arts is evident in every production. Whether youβre a theatre lover or just curious, Bedlam Theatre offers a charming and lively experience thatβs definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful 18th-century building originally built as a church. It was nearly converted to a hotel but saved by Edinburgh Unversity Theatre Company. I was told it is still hosting performance with a 90-seat capacity.

They have the CUTEST little library one the side of the building - I picked up Lovey yesterday and Iβve been looking for it for ages!

The new Bedlam Little Library is a super development for community integration for the theatre - Iβve made sure to take a book out of it every few weeks.

The Improverts which are screened every Friday are one of the best performances I have ever seen. Spontanous, funny with very talented students in action. Definitely must see! Everyone should experience it at least once during their stay in the city.
