Not a lot of mens wear, what there is, is not for middle aged men.

Popped in to find a book of raffle tickets. Shop OK but freezing cold and it put me off a little for browsing.

It used to be nice place to shop. However, they raised prices and become less competitive to other shops. You can find something nice easily, but price won't be extremely attractive.

spoke to a member of staff advising i had lost a 20% discount voucher i was given the week before, they said they couldnt do anything (fair enough) and the promotion didnt start for 4 more days anyway, i said id buy the items and if i found the receipt bring them back in 4 days, refund them and rebuy them at 20% discount, they said it was against policy and they would refuse to refund my items knowing id be "trying to get a discount", i said i would be within my rights to refund anything i purchased from anywhere and if i have a 20% discount voucher that they had given me, its also my right to use it to gain 20% discount, store manager started whining about what her area manager would say - it was a generic load of rubbish from an inexperienced manager and was frankly, a weak argument, could equally argue what the area manager would say about denying me my rights and as a result, losing a sale which is exactly what happened because i told them to forget it and left the shop. poor inexperienced staff making up their own statutory rights and policies as they go along through fear of higher management repercussions, no back bone or even intelligence enough to question what is morally correct or legally correct, simply regurgitating the same generic rubbish they have been told to regurgitate should the need arise. there is nothing at all wrong with refunding items and repurchasing them using a discount if there is one, as long as the items are in the same condition as purchased and unused, its my legal right as a consumer to do this and just because some jumped up little girl managing a store doesnt agree with that, does not make it so although on the other hand i can see why she was picked for the role because they have moulded her completely and taken away any ability she previously may have had to ask questions. the perfect type of manager places like this look for
