I was initially concerned when my child was transferred to the school, especially after reading some negative reviews and considering its distance from my home. However, I soon realized that many of those reviews were misleading. The school is outstanding in every aspect. The discipline is strong, and all children are treated with care and respect. The meals are delicious and impressive, with the thoughtful addition of offering bagels in the morning. Very touching! The headteacher, Mrs. Edmonds, comes across as both professional and caring, and all the teachers and assistants are highly responsible and attentive to the children’s needs. It’s clear they put in a lot of effort. My child, who started in P1 after moving from Scotland, has been very happy here, even after just a few weeks. The after-school club is excellent too, with friendly staffs, and my child absolutely loves the meals it offers! Shamed I have to transfer her to another school only because it is too far from where I live. Both me and the child feel very sad about leaving minister infant school.

Both of my children attended this school and they loved every minute of it. The teachers are very caring and nurturing.

The school is dead. After Mr Morgan left, everything went south. Though the school was inadequate, Mrs Jacob hasn't done a very good job of changing that. Literally 99.9% of the teachers SUCKED. All the good teachers have left. So I suggest you do yourself a GRAND favor and do not send your child to this poor excuse for a school. The teachers are deluded, delirious and disgraceful, may I add that the head doesn't even come in very often as she lives so far away, whats the point in even taking the job if your commute is insanely long? You cannot say it's the wrong school if went there for a whole 8 years. You just don't want a bad reputation, well its far too late for that!

If I could leave zero stars I would!! Reading the other reviews warrants what I’m about to write about this absolute shocker of a primary school. Everything is true regarding Mrs Jacobs sacking virtually every teacher who opposed anything she said .. my child had four teachers in one term & when I asked each teacher why they were leaving.. the reason was always the same - Mrs Jacobs. She scrapped pastoral care & got rid of anything that cost money. My child was denied 10 mins of reading 1 - 1 twice a week due to lack of funding. In the eyes of the council she saved money & turned the school around but anyone who had children at the school through that dark transition period knows how bad things were. How bad the school was becoming was talk of the playground in the mornings, a lot of parents were worried about how many teachers left in such a short space of time. My child didn’t have a relationship with the teacher because of having had so many in the space of two years. I called a meeting with Mrs Jacobs to express my concerns as my child was 2 years below year 5 reading age & I wanted to find a way to help my child.. her response was atrocious .. “if I don’t like it I should move my child to another school as they don’t have the funding” No solution, no reassurance, nothing. I was horrified at her lack of concern at my child being two years behind. I complained to the school governors & ofsted because of her conduct during that meeting. I would hate to work under someone like that & I totally understand the high turnover of staff. My child is at a different school & is a different person ... full of confidence & has been given the time & patience to catch up to the standard to which he should be working at ... he is engaged in learning & enjoys school. Minster Junior School really is a disgrace of a school. Don’t send your child here if you want them to be in a healthy happy environment whilst they are learning.

Just travel with around 20kids from that school in 154 bus to Morden. You cant even hear a automatic bus information about bus stop name or ring phone. The mans who look after them dont care shouting. There can hear each other then there shout too for talk. So shock ! There dont care is there other people in the bus too. I feel like in circus.

When I was there 10+ years ago it was a very good school, lots of good pastoral care and inclusive activities. It is a Christian school, though there wasn't uncomfortable amounts of faith (e.g. much of my class were not Christians and there was nothing forced on anyone).
