I’d highly recommend Priory Hospital Glasgow to anyone struggling with their mental health. I went private after suffering a breakdown after getting inadequate help from the NHS. I’ve recommended Priory Glasgow to several people who’ve also been very happy. I’ve literally gone from being so low that I could barely function, to being well on my way to rebuilding my life at pace. Nobody wants to pay for psychiatric care but it really is worth every penny. They’ll write to your GP with your diagnosis and recommended treatment. Well done Priory Glasgow, and thank you. Rev Scott McCrum

I was referred to a psychiatrist here earlier this year. I didnt’t feel like all my concerns were listened to and when raised again they were dismissed. I was prescribed medication along with therapy. 5r therapy dept took over 8 weeks to get in contact, by this point I had decided to go private. I contact the Drs secretary several times, often passed to another one due to leave a few times. I had to constantly chase it up. I never actually received any follow up care. I informed them I wanted to stop my meds and I don’t think I even got a reply. Mine was covered by private health insurance but for an expensive clinic I think this is very poor. I’ve left 2 stars simply because I was seen initially relatively quickly and the building is nice and clean.

The staff are absolutely amazing and are so beneficial in my recovery, rumours of budget cuts to the food have dampened my mood, the kitchen staff are so accommodating! I feel it is part of the recovery! The decor could be doing with an upgrade rather dated and less than desirable! Dirty carpets and furniture. I feel the response from the Priory was automated as not one negative comment was acknowledged.

All of the Therapists and Nursing staff are excellent and the care is great. The catering and food are also excellent. The big let down is the quality of the furnishings and general condition of the decor which could only be described as poor and what I would expect of a company of the Priory’s stature. Modernisation of the the internal of the building would make a significant difference to the whole experience which is why I have allocated the rating that I have. Again I would reiterate the quality of all the staff

The staff and the care given was outstanding. I was in as an inpatient. The dining room has the best food options, anything and everything you could want or need to eat. I can't even explain how beneficial this has been for me. It's changed my life. It's helped me deal with mental health and it's the best way to get the fastest treatment. Every single member of staff was approachable and extremely helpful no matter what time of day or night. There is an onsite doctor 24 hours a day. All of the staff are mental health trained giving help and advice 24 hours a day. Nothing was too much to ask. I was treated fairly and equally. Each and every therapist I had have been some of the best out there, and I've seen a few. Nothing else has worked for me until I went to the Priory. They do the group therapy in a way which was easy to understand and really made sense. I would recommend this treatment to anyone who is struggling. There is no judgement from peers or staff, just truly amazing support. There is a confidential policy meaning whatever is discussed in group remains in the group or within the four walls. You also get a one on one therapist each week. They go above and beyond to make sure you get the best possible outcome for your needs. I didn't really want to leave however I knew the time I did spend there totally gave me a better outlook in life. I am so proud of myself and the staff. They all deserve a medal.

Highly recommend the Priory Glasgow. I don’t think I have ever written a review before but after my experience here I thought it would be good to do so, The staff here really care and want you to do well. I genuinely felt that and I came with a goal which they helped me achieve and so couldn’t have asked for anything more. I have been to other treatment centres before and by far this was the best all round experience. The therapy was much better than expected and I enjoyed the sessions, they follow a CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) model which is proven to be highly effective and I have personally benefited from this. I wouldn’t look any further when choosing somewhere to help you with anxiety, depression or addictions you may be suffering with. Good luck.

Really dissapointing experience for an organisation who has a reputation for excellence - As a private insured potential patient, I was assured that the treatments were fee assured, fixed price, and covered in full - and all billing would be handled by my insurer - I was repeatedly shunted back and forth between my insurer and the staff as The Priory repeatedly asked me to agree to be billed directly, and at variable rates - staff remained polite and professional throughout, but I was left feeling like I narrowly avoided being scammed when I decided to go elsewhere.

Wow, what is there to be said, on arrival, staff were professional, compassionate and knowledgeable. The accommodation although basic is very clean and well cared for....Food is outstanding, Top chefs could not do anymore, just perfect. The therapists make this place what it is,m. Whatever you go there for you are looked after from beginning until the end. I cannot give the Priory any more praise 5 stars just does not quantify the profound experience I had in my time there.....The Priory Group should be proud to have a jewel in its crown that The Priory Glasgow definitely is...it was my privilege and honour to stay there and have such outstanding treatment....Well done to you all.
