Very disappointing experience at Foxbar Clinic. I brought my 8-week-old daughter in for her first round of immunisations. After the injections were given in both of her legs, I was surprised and upset to be immediately directed out to the waiting area while my baby was still crying. I wasn’t given even a moment to comfort her in the room. It felt rushed and insensitive, as if crying babies were an inconvenience rather than a normal part of a pediatric clinic. I would have expected the nurses to understand that part of their responsibility is to ensure the baby’s wellbeing after the vaccines—not just to administer them quickly and move on. A baby should be monitored for any immediate reaction, and parents should be given space and time to settle their children. The way we were treated felt more like we were in a production line than in a caring medical environment. Very unhappy with the experience—I expected more compassion and professionalism from a clinic that deals with infants.
