Just visited my brother Patrick McQuillan today and was impressed by how well he and the other patients are being looked after. Those staff on duty were friendly and helpful and there was a disciplined care of the patients including my younger brother Pat. He was fed on time and he finished his soup and drink etc. Pat looks well and is thriving Much obliged

This is a place with great history. It is sad to know that the grounds of this hospital which once was a 1000-bed asylum are going to be sold and turned into flats. You can still see all the old villas where patients used to stay as well as the old football pitch and tennis court.
I trained here to be a mental nurse in 1957
