   We had a very disappointing experience at First Adventures. Our son’s settling-in session was held outside the rooms, and we weren’t even allowed to see the classroom he would be in. They seemed quite relaxed around our son's anaphylactic allergy - which did put us on edge. The settle sessions were organised very close to him starting in our opinion, no forms were filled in by us about our son beforehand, and we were left with more questions than confidence. It was a very odd experience that didn’t build trust. We also received an invoice before any real information, which set the tone — it felt money-driven from the start. In the end, we lost over £1,000 due to their rigid reservation and deposit policies, despite our son never properly starting. Honestly, its money well spent for him not to go there and risk his wellbeing. Thankfully, we are now at a nursery that values transparency, allowed us to see the rooms, offered four settle sessions rather than two, and gave us all the information and forms upfront. We would not recommend First Adventures.

   Our daughter and us have been extremely happy with her stay during the last three years in First Adventures. The nursery has an impressive setting, with a beautiful and plenty of experiences outdoor play, but also an indoor area full of activities. We are also impressed with the learning through play and focus on self confidence she has achieved during this time. More important, the personal has nurtured our daughter, being kind and helpful and every day trying to find an exciting new activity for her class to explore and keep them engaged. Some things that we valued were trips to nearby places (library, Tesco, …) and other special activities like making apple cider, growing veggies or watching ducklings hatch.
