Review of food in the bar- portions relatively small, served very quickly but was like warm coming out. Main reason for a lower rating. Staff kind and quick. Especially on check in. Room- nice size, but in need of TLC. Lots of woodwork with chips etc. Bed comfy.

We loved this hotel, stayed for one night as a wee childfree night away. We were warmly welcomed and our room was so light, clean and spacious, with a mini bar and coffee machine (we had upgraded to a superior, v worth it). The bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. We visited the spa twice, both times not too busy, really clean and we had a lovely time. We ate out at night but breakfast in the morning was buffet with other menu choices, some with a charge. The buffet had plenty of choice and was all good. We'd highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Booked a night away to escape the hustle and bustle. Colleagues said the Westerwood Hotel was nice, as they'd stayed there for work meetings. Thought I'd see what they were talking about. Lovely comfortable bed and big room. Walls look a little tired but hey, they all lose their lustre. Dinner was very nice, real burger and a huge amount of fries! Prosecco was lovely and service was good. Used the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, all great. Cold shower was working but only on one button (3 buttons and 2 didn't work). Swimming pool was nice and plenty of seating around. Changing rooms and facilities were great, staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again

The hotel is located 20 minutes from Glasgow easy to get to. The hotel offers spa facilities which are 5 star the hotel rooms are comfortable and decorated to a high standard. Within the rooms they have hair dryer mini fridge iron and iron board with tea and coffee facilities however could have been better with a biscuit with that. Dinner was very nice and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend an overnight stay to relax.

Fabulous overnight stay, including Spa treatments. I had been a bit apprehensive after reading some of the reviews, however, we had a fantastic stay. From the warm welcome and helpfulness from Emily and Victoria to Julie and Natalie at the Spa. Nothing was too much trouble. We had both a lovely evening meal and a great breakfast. Our room was spotless, very comfortable and warm. The late checkout was fab. We will def return again.

Unfortunately this stay was not as good or relaxing as expected. The only reason I'm giving 1 star was the comfy bed otherwise it would be 0 .... on arrival we did not receive a welcome cookie , slippers or robes as advertised. The what is supposed to a relaxing spa area was more like your local swimming baths on the school holidays with kids jumping in the pool and throwing balls around screaming and shouting which resulted in us only being in there 10 minutes. The evening meal was a disaster half of the food on the menu was not available. When the food did come out the starters was not as described on the menu what should have been potted chicken liver parfait came out as a slab of cheap Pate on stale brioche. The chicken on the mains was dry and the salmon was full of bones to this point I complained as I could not eat the dish. Staff did not offer to change the dish just offered a free glass of wine. I had enough and just wanted to go back to the room. Went for breakfast no eggs no orange juice big wait for coffee as only 1 coffee machine. The breakfast was tasty even though it had gone cold from waiting 15 minutes in the queue for coffee. At this point I was happy to check out.. only to find the hotel had charged me twice for our stay ... the receptionist was apologetic.. and advised she would sort this ... I asked for confirmation that this would be resolved a quick email would have been great as I was checking out we had a 4 hr drive home and did not want to get home to find out it had been forgotten about. The receptionist advised this was not possible as she would need another department to organise this which I don't understand why just seemed like she wanted to get the queue down which had formed behind me...So hopefully this does get resolved and we have not paid double for a hotel I wouldn't pay the initial amount for.

Superb and easy location looking over extensive and magnificent views. Golf course adjoins making for peaceful location with no passing traffic. Staff team was wonderful and looked after us for our three day stay very well indeed. Food was excellent with the restaurant overlooking the golf course. Thoroughly recomended. Will stay there again for sure.
