This place is described on google as 4 star hotel! Lets correct that, its a hostel. Police cars are regularly parked outside. Do not book a room here out of your own free choice.

After extensive travel across Europe, I must say that this particular hostel experience stands out as one of the most disappointing ones I've ever had. I strongly recommend against investing your time and money here. The staff lack professionalism and courtesy, which is evident in their behaviour. The room keys consistently malfunction, leading to frequent visits to the reception for assistance. Extra charges are applied for nearly every service, leaving guests feeling frustrated and taken advantage of. The overall atmosphere is unwelcoming and uncomfortable, with a tendency to attract rowdy, often inebriated locals. In summary, this was a subpar experience. We booked through Hostelworld but were not informed about late check-in fees, which ended up costing us an extra £5 per person. Even after reaching out ahead of time to inquire about special requirements due to our late arrival, the hostel failed to provide us with any information. Additionally, the staff seemed more interested in financial transactions than in ensuring guest satisfaction. Basic amenities like towels, soap, and shampoo, which are typically standard in hostels, were missing. The bed assigned to us was poorly made, and we had to wait for the hostel staff to rectify it, raising concerns about hygiene, especially regarding the cleanliness of bedding between guest stays. The overall lack of cleanliness at the hostel is worrying and is a recurring issue throughout the premises, with stained carpets, unvacuumed areas, and pervasive dust. Strange odors permeate the space, suggesting inadequate cleaning and maintenance. Avoid!

The staff on arrival were very helpful, they can't be faulted however the place itself is not good. I'm writing this on behalf of the person staying here who was sent from hospital as they have no fixed abode. He is very disheartened. He described some features, not all. The bed base has mould. There is no access to cold drinking tap water only hot water in the room. The staff kindly got him bottled water from a local shop. He was told he would get a room with no stairs to climb but this hasn't happened. I could mention much more that i witnessed on dropping him off that concerned me personally but I'll stick to the place itself in as much as I can pass on.

Brilliant value. Clean and comfy. I stayed in my own room but there are shared rooms available. My only qualm was that the car park was very small so parking wasn't always available. I do understand that this not a easy issue to fix but I thought I'd mention it

Very nice place. Actually I was quite surprised. The room and the bathroom were clean, big and comfortable. It is a little far from city centre but everything else was OK. Free carpark on the street and behind the hotel. The one thing I found not nice is that there were no openable windows for some fresh air.

It's out of the way, but there are buses that hi there. The 38 is closer but it's an uphill walk from Buchanan bus station. Another bus goes from there on stand 39 every hour, but it's from a housing estate at the other side Taxi would be my choice with baggage. They are really helpful and lockers are available for just ,£3. Clean, comfy, good size room. Great bathroom and shower. Worth a stay.

Beds from £7-8 pounds while still being walkable to the city centre which is fantastic. Beds are comfortable, staff a very friendly and helpful. Kitchen is fully equipped. No elevator or disabled access, and the access cards for the room will regularly fail and need to be reset due to an old key card. Common room is also near and tidy.

UPDATE: They put an extra charge on my account of over $200 a week AFTER I stayed there. I tried contacting them to find out why and they are being non-responsive after I showed them proof of the extra transaction. I now have to fight the transaction through my bank. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS PLACE, THEY WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF. You get what you paid for. 1 shared bathroom in each dorm for 8 people. Facilities aren't very good and the key card kept not working. They have bums stay there sometimes and it can be sketchy for leaving your stuff there while you see the city. But, there are lockers underneath the bunks for your valuables, plus large locker storage in a separate area in the hostel that you need to pay for. About 30min walk from the city centre
