“Very nice and inexpensive hotel. Great location. Simple and respectful atmosphere.”
“Stayed the night in Glen Nevis hostel, absolutely fabulous location, service, facilities, room and people. What a lovely experience I’ve had. So reasonably priced! Highly recommend to anyone.”
“Was staying for 2 nights and from check in until check out it was perfect. Staff was lovely, rooms were incredibly clean, super quiet and a very well equipped kitchen. There's no plugs by the top bunks but they got extension cords so you can make it work quite easily. The beds are so comfy. Bathroom lights are quite bright so sleep mask might be good to bring but that's an essential for me anyway in a hostel. They have a very beautiful lounge room to read in, there's a whiteboard on the wall with what's on in the area. If you don't want to catch the bus it's only about 30 minutes walk to Glasgow central station or a 10 minute walk to the bus station and there's a little park right by the hostel with lots of squirrels. The whole building is just beautiful and I will definitely stay again!”
“Highly recommend this if you are studying at City of Glasgow College or if you are living far from home. The staff from the Hall of Residence do make you feel like you are home, they are always there when you do need something or advice. Even this hall of residence is 20 mins walk to the main campus and the other city of glasgow college campus is next door.”
“Pretty great hostel for a good quiet night. Rooms are one bed each, allowing for more privacy and quiet than most hostels. Bathrooms are clean, kitchens are well stocked, internet is fast, and it's close to the center of Glasgow. Staff is very friendly. One downside is that it's a bit hard to meet people since there's no real communal room.”
“The people who work in hostel are very happy to help and will go out their way to make sure you have a happy stay in hostel nothing to much hassle for them and rooms are clean bright It is the best hostel I have been in and will be sorry to leave but things go on in life . The hostel is close to all local transport services which can get you all over the city and all over Scotland so handy for every thing”
“Great spot next to Stirling Castle and downtown. Clean, friendly staff. Kitchen available for own meal prep, breakfast and supper available with prior notice”
“I’ve had a wonderful experience staying at Safestay Charing Cross, Glasgow. I’ve been here for over 15 days now, and it has truly felt like a home away from home. The staff members are extremely supportive, friendly, and have a very welcoming, chill vibe. During my stay, I’ve had the pleasure of connecting with some amazing team members—Annik, David, Sejal, Tanmay, Vivek, Sarah, and Tiago—who made my experience even more special. Their coordination, kindness, and constant support really stand out. Thank you to the entire team for such a fantastic stay, and Merry Christmas to everyone. You’re all doing an incredible job! ♥️✨”
“Rooms: I stayed in two separate 4-bed dorms and they were clean, well provisioned, towels and shower gel included. No lockers in either room (apparently they're being changed out for new ones across the building), but staff were very helpful storing my bag in a dedicated luggage storage room downstairs. The hostel was full in terms of bookings but you wouldn't know it - it wasn't heaving or loud, very peaceful actually. Service: quick, friendly, efficient, with a smile - can't ask for more in a busy hostel! Location: very central, right by St Enoch subway and a short walk from either of the main stations. Not a 5* hotel, but as hostels go, a wonderful experience and one I'll happily stay in again.”
“Great establishment. This hostel really embodies and gives the “backpacker” experience to a trip. With a large assortment of colorfull individuals giving life to the place, you’l always find at least one persone to chat with in the lounge. Otherwise activities are often organised. If I would have to use one word to describe the Clyde hostel, I would say this: Splendid.”
“Great place and staff are great and very helpful, can't praise them enough as there's many other extras that can get handed in to.”
“Martin is a great host. My cat really enjoys spending time at Beachwood Cattery. He is sometimes even too comfortable for my liking - makes me a bit jealous ;) It is especially important because it took us a while to find a cattery my cat is so comfortable with. Thank you for all your work.”
“We have booked a few overnights and weekends away on this site and its always teally good value we enjoyed a spa weekend at Airth castle with food and wine and Stonefield castle was also a great weekend away . Would defo use this site again xx”
“Owned and run by the scout association this is great at what it is. Accommodation is basic but adequate with a well equipped kitchen of a good size and loads of space outside. The current warden is amazing and has a fantastic team helping him so standards have been improving year on year and they go out of their way to help you. Hobbit huts are popular and the assault course looks great. Couple notes, the driveway has more holes than a sieve and if you are a big group it could be worth bring a few extra pots and pans.”
“Awesome! ! Good service attitude”
“From the moment I arrived I could not stop smiling! The Owners were kind, attentive and generous (got a wee upgrade). The room and entire hostel itself is clean, modern and all the comforts of home. Centrally located to many outdoor hikes and historic sites. And the VIEWs are Spectacular! The Cafe had so many delicious options. The Chai Latte HIGHLY recommend. I tried 2 different toasties with salad and soup . Fresh, Fresh, Fresh ! Superb on the taste buds. If you have kids you will love this place. Disneyland for Wee Tots! Love it!!!! GPS tried to take me to a different entrance. I would suggest make sure Eden Mill Farm is your addy location. OVERALL 10 Stars forget the 5 Stars ! I will be back . Thank you, Thank you for the Scottish Hospitality !”

“Clean room very bright with blinds Host couldn’t help enough as this was my first time, great location, breakfast across road at church excellent & Italian bar next door, very popular parking next to house will stay again”
“Very nice place. Actually I was quite surprised. The room and the bathroom were clean, big and comfortable. It is a little far from city centre but everything else was OK. Free carpark on the street and behind the hotel. The one thing I found not nice is that there were no openable windows for some fresh air.”
“I came today for accommodation and the guys in the office, care takers and all other staff are the backbone of a great cause thank you guys”
