   If you are interested in enrolling here to study Film and Television; I would advise that you look somewhere else. Speaking as a graduate myself from this institute, with a Bachelor of Arts, I can honestly say I had a horrific time with this Institutes Media Department. My lecturers were very unnapproachable, elitist, neglectful, transparent with much of their student base, and in the case of one of them (a woman by the name of KIRSTEN MACLEOD), even bullyish. I should also mention that in the time since I left the institution, I was even diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder based on Mrs MacLeod’s treatment as a lecturer As a Media Deprtment, Edinburgh Napier’s biggest issue is very much its Teaching Base. They appear to care more about their overall image and reputation rather than their actual quality of teaching and they just appeared to look at their students as just “Small Fish” rather than aspiring young people who want to learn and have a great experience. I will however acknowledge the support and aid of Edinburgh Napier’s Complaint Procedure Department who have apologised for Kirsten McLeod’s poor treatment and their offer of mental health support for the PTSD is greatly appreciated though. It’s just unfortunate not to have received an apology from Kirsten MacLeod herself. If anybody has had the misfortune of enrolling with this institute and if you happen to be a media student and happen to experience any difficulty with Kirsten MacLeod as a lecturer (or any other member of the department) I advise that you complain to the complaints procedure IMMEDIATELY as complaints will only be handled after a certain amount of time has passed.

   Disgraceful, shameful and immoral. That pretty much sums up the things going on at this ‘university’. They are simply out to steal money from you. That’s it. Nothing else. They don’t care about you. I was sent an email from their finance department saying that I owed almost a thousands pounds for nothing and as soon as I challenged it the email was deleted and I’ve heard nothing else from them. They just wanted to see if they could take even more money from me. I urge you, please do not go anywhere near this place for you own sake, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

   Their credit third parties such as Shaw University who doesn't do the educational facilities anywhere on this planet any good. Shaw University customer service if they have customer service I can't say it is customer service is horrible. I canceled my subscription immediately after I found out I was being charged when it was supposed to be a free month of classes I never attended any other classes nor do I plan on a virginity of their classes. Then the diploma that was supposed to be free for the one class they charged me for also. I think Edinburgh needs to review Shaw University and see if they should even bother to have them facilities.

   I haven't felt that the course was good value for money - even though I am a distance learning student I expect questions to be answered by staff members and support given. I asked course related questions a year or so ago and a lecturer basically said they were too busy to answer. Paying exorbitant fees for not much in return (paying the same as a part time on campus student for a far more limited experience). The financial team is currently messing me about too by arbitrarily adding unjustified fees onto the large amount I have already paid off in full. Disappointing. I have enjoyed some of the teaching but the fees do not justify the shortcomings that I have experienced
