We really enjoyed the horse riding experience, it was genuinely amazing especially our horses β€œLucy” and β€œDiamond”. The staff were very friendly and helpful and made our experience even better. I recommend this place if you want to enjoy horse riding with wonderful views.

Having some private lessons to build up my confidence with part loan horse I have and lessons with Isobel are amazing. She is truly great and pushes me to achieve more goals. Unfortunately today however had my nephew up from down south who loves horses and potentially could be the next equestrian. Today for the first time he fed a pony. He took particular liking to Vanessa (made) but as we approached a young girl was turning her out. I was passing a head collar which dropped and she ripped it out of my hand. My 5 year old nephew never got the chance to feed his favourite horse there as the young girl snapped at us saying she was in a rush. Surely she needs to learn some manners before working with horses first. I pay money to be there and surely us as a community should be encouraging young children to love the horses and the sport. That left a bad taste about the yard. But as I already mentioned the private lessons are amazing.

It’s not perfect and rough in places but it’s a work in progress. We really enjoyed ourselves, the girls leading the horses were friendly and confident. The technique practice prior to the walk was excellent, informative and helpful. The teacher was lovely and clear. My 6 year old and 9 year old had a great time. I’ve read some bad reviews and don’t get peoples expectations. The staff is firm and there is not too much time for niceties and small talk but they’re busy and I really think they are lovely people, for us everyone was super helpful and friendly. We were 10 min late and no one told us off. I wanted to join my daughters last minute and they organised me a horsing 5 min no problems. Everyone was friendly and told us about the horses, let us know which ones we can befriend, we hung out for extra half hour just stroking horses and walking around and watching everyone work. Re dogs, please people use your brain and don’t bring dogs, it’s a health and safety risk. You can’t guarantee they won’t cause trouble. I have a well behaved dog , but I didn’t bring her as she has never been around that many horses and god know what could happen. Blaming staff for lack of common sense and leaving 1 star is just not cool.

Warm and friendly reception from the staff members. Having a staff weekend off from Harajuku ESF Omni and we sure had a great experience. We can’t wait to host you in our restaurant soon.

I went to Edinburgh for a week, specifically for horse riding. I rode here almost daily, either in the form of lessons or hacks. The lessons were absolutely fabulous. I improved my form within the week. The hacks were super fun. It was very wet (big surprise in Scotland......) still we got canters in and the scenery is superb anyway. For me it was about getting as much saddle time as possible within a week .. i did not care as much about the views... and that goal was achieved. The staff was flexible and helpful. They invited me back for the Common rides in the summer, and I will definitely be returning. Thank you for fabulous week or horse riding..

My granddaughter goes once every fortnight for lessons and absolutely loves it....very friendly atmosphere and she is moving through the levels at a steady rate.

A great experience. Myself and 11 year old grandson had originally booked a pony trek middle of July but due to my grandson catching chicken pox we had to cancel. The owner Marjory was very understanding and offered to rearrange for another day. We went today. Neither of us can ride at all but we were very well looked after from the moment we arrived, had our riding hats fitted and shown where to wait till our horses were ready. A very polite, friendly young man introduced us to our horses and made sure we were comfortable on them, showing us how to sit, hold the reins and guide the horses. We were then joined by Susan who was taking us out. A very lovely lady who was encouraging and reassuring, making sure we were ok at all times. We enjoyed a lovely walk in beautiful scenery and were even encouraged to try a trot! At the end of the trek Susan took some photos of us still on the horses. With the help of two lovely young girls we were assisted in getting back down to the ground. No easy task for an old stiffy like me! Definitely made a wonderful experience for us and we will certainly love to book again. 10 out of 10.

The setting is beautiful and the walk for the kids is just about right, but it's all a bit of a weird place! No one greets you except to say 'get your hat'. There are no introductions to the staff, the horses or the other riders. They just plonked my son on top of a horse (literally) without introducing him, telling him whats happening, checking if he was ready- nothing. Set off without warning. No word on where we were going or what we'd be doing. He politely asked what the horses names were and everyone ignored him despite being a foot away and definitely hearing him. I just went round and checked for myself! The walk was lead by teenage girls who didn't speak to anyone except to share in-jokes so we mostly all walked in awkward silence. This isn't an experience for learning about horses or riding and no one speaks to you. They definitely need someone who actually likes, and can engage with kids to lead these sessions. Not even a goodbye at the end, just a 'jump off'. There is also a dog there with a paw he can't walk on..... apparently he is just choosing not to walk on it? My son had a good time, but only because of me engaging him and happening to know about horses. Not because of anyone here. It wasn't terrible but not great, and you can definitely find a better, more enthusiastic and personal service elsewhere.
