I was charged with a drink driving offence which is a mandatory ban. I’m a HGV driver so my job was on the line, my mortgage was on the line, my family, my whole life was on the line, I had to keep my licence, there was no other option for me. I had no other option but to drive my vehicle a short distance to get the vehicle to safety. I was put in a very unfortunate position which resulted in me having no other option but to drive my vehicle. There were special circumstances surrounding my case, I’ve always had a clean licence and never in a million years did I think a situation like this would occur. I contacted several lawyer firms at first, explaining in detail what had happened and each of the other lawyer firms couldn’t get me off the phone quick enough. “There’s nothing I can do, you’ll loose your licence, best I can do is 9 month ban but nothing else.” Most of them were rude and couldn’t really care less in all honesty. I then contacted Michael Lyon Solicitors, I sent an email on Sunday and to my surprise, Michael phoned me the next day on Monday late morning. He patiently answered all my questions, gave me advice, hope and support throughout the whole phone call. I was on the phone to him for an hour, he gave me an hour of his time, his advice and he didn’t rush me off the phone and he didn’t push me to go with his firm.
