CASE no. 1623 Having already served a 2 year course here years ago, it has yet to improve on how it should help students to get jobs and learn basics of what they would be expecting such as knowing taxes, best ways to travel, financial skills etc. It still tries to force students into their university without giving clear information on costs both before and/or after and what's expected from the outcome. With that in mind, I believe that there needs new courses and enrollments in other aspects to help students here succeed to their fullest without shoving their university slogans and cheap tactics in their faces whilst already enrolled in their own courses.

Visited as part of an employability programme we put on for local students. I was impressed with the college overall. It was clean and tidy throughout and the facilities I had access to were excellent. They have updated the building and it is modern. Large rooms with good access to computers and interactive white boards. The location is very close to East Croydon Station. Approx a 5 min walk

Everyone is rude in this place. Kantine staff are rude. Most security personal is very poor and rude. Especially the bold tall guy with glasses. Their reception is rude and they don't listen to their students. Can't wait to leave. Even if am continuing my studies, am changing schools. Teachers are not too bad

You can enrol on a variety of courses with people of all ages and a wonderfully diverse community. Some parts of the college building could do with a bit of freshening up, but they need to check out the heating. Some rooms are so hot, you have to open the windows in this cold snap. Can't imagine what the heating bills will be like.

I went to the college to help one of the students with an assessment. She is doing a barbering course. I had my head and beard shaved and my moustache was trimmed. The student was very good, she got an assessment and I got a cheap cut. This is a very good way to help students practice.

I went to this college for many years, and whilst it did have some struggles here and there, it was always improving constantly and the facilities it offered were exceptional. I truly felt like I was a part of the college and I do miss visiting it from time to time, especially just to see how much it has improved. The staff were really helpful and enthusiastic and always went above and beyond for their students.

Croydon College is an educational institution with 8,000 students, made up of a Further Education College, The Croydon School of Art and a University Centre. It is located in Croydon, within the London Borough of Croydon. Its origins can be traced to a School of Art that was established in 1868, which subsequently merged with Croydon Polytechnic to create the college shortly after the Second World War. The college is the only further education college to have been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service (QAVS) and is currently graded 'good' by Ofsted (2014).
