As a convenience store, it ok. As a drop-off or collection point FOR COURIER SERVICES AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE; they do not have enough space to cope. This results in customers being turned away with a flea in their ear by the Team Leader, Jan, who is defensive rude and aggressive. The other local courier service agents are far more pleasant to deal with.

Rude Staff. Sunday 5th October 2025 approx. 10:35am (feel tree to check your security caneras). Walking my dog, I received a text to say my Yodal parcel had arrived. I walk to the shop, checked the door/windows for any no dog signs. There were non, so I entered the store with my very calm dog on a shirt lead right by my side and made my way the 4 steps to the till. A member of staff was coming from begmhind tbe till and I lifted my phone and the conversation went along: Me: Hi, "I've come to collect a parcel". Staff: "Dogs aren't allowed in here". She then lifted her arms and ushered me in the direction of the door. Me: "Would it be possible for you to bring the parcel to me outside?. Staff: "I can do, dogs aren't allowed inside" Me: "Do you need to quickly scan my phone?" Staff: Dogs aren't allowed in the store. Once your outside, I'll take your phone off you". She continued to usher me outside. Once outside, she stood at the door to take my phone off me. Me: "You could have been less rude" Staff: "I wasn't rude, I said I'd get your parcel if you waited outside" Me: You were rude in the abrupt way you stated "Dogs aren't allowed inside and ushered me to the door. Staff: "I wasn't rude, I said I'd get your parcel when you were outside" Me: "It came across as rude" Staff tried to give me my phone back and went round shut the door. Me: "Please can you get my parcel" Staff: "I suggest you get your parcels delivered somewhere else next time". Finally got my parcel with a few "Thanks you's" being passed either way. There is a polite way to speak and act towards people and unfortunately on this occasion this lady did not fulfill the basic requirements of customer service.

Little pricier than your supermarkets but worth it for the quick essentials Always friendly staff, and most have been there for years which says it all Don't mind paying the extra if you get a nice experience whilst paying it

Good service especially from this young lad Sam, He let me buy some Bacardi without IDing me. Even though I look about 12.

i personally believe, despite all of the other reviews on the staff, that they are perfect and genuinely so helpful as i frequently visit this shop although i live in wigan. for this service i would give them 5 stars however when i went on an emergency trip for marshmallows, they were not prepared for me and didnt have them. henceforth i review this shop 0.5 stars

Rude staff!! every single time I’ve been in to drop off a Hermes parcel the staff are so abrupt, Rude and won’t don’t take the parcel from you as they are “too busy” Will avoid from how on and I really think Hermes should remove the drop off location from their list!!

As convenient as the shop is for the local community in terms of services and product selection. I cannot comprehend the rudeness and snobbery from certain staff members. The arrogance of said staff members is just uncalled for. Really does not make it a pleasant experience to visit.

They're always really nice and incredibly helpful here. It's a pleasure to go there, even though for me it's usually just to pick up parcels a couple of times a week. Very convenient!
