I had a bewilderingly poor experience of placing an order with Acanthus. I'd placed the order for collection in person, but never received any confirmation that it was ready to pick up. About two and a half weeks after ordering, I emailed asking for an update, and had no response. Then out of the blue, over three weeks after ordering, I received an automated message from DHL saying they had my order. I then received a string of 'failed delivery' messages. To cut a long story short, this ended with me having to make a two hour round trip journey to collect the parcel from a DHL drop off point, because Acanthus had given them an incorrect delivery address for me (you'll recall that I hadn't provided a delivery address at all, as the order was supposed to be for collection!). I've given two stars rather than one because I did eventually get my order, but I was very disappointed by the experience, particularly the lack of communication throughout, for which there's no excuse.
Unfortunately, due to repeated attempts to contact the owner to resolve this in private, we have been left with no option but to try and get her attention via this route. We are the owners of a local window cleaning company. We have been cleaning the windows of Acanthus for the past few years. For the past year and a half we have been having trouble trying to get paid for the work carried out. We have even got to the point of threatening court action. This was on that occasion resolved and the owner claimed afterwards to have set up a regular payment through her bank, this was not the case. We are now 9 months without payment again and despite repeated attempts to contact the owner re this we have still not had contact. The owner now owes our company over £500 for work carried out. Stay away from this company and in particular the owner, Rebecca. And please for your sake do not do business with her. We have since learned that unfortunately we are not the only company to have been stung by her and she seems to get away with it.

The team at Acanthus were brilliant. We were looking for different ideas for lighting and interior theme for our new kitchen. We ended up with a beautiful colour palette and signature lighting that transformed the space. Even the accessories suggested were perfect. Thanks team!
