Was told prescription would be ready in 30 mins, sat waiting for 50 mins and asked if it was ready, it wasn't. When I did get it, it was short of the item I required. Since Hazel and her team have all left it has gone badly down hill. I will go the extra 10 mins to go to Calderwood square.
Best pharmacy by far. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. They are so friendly and efficient. Adrienne in particular, she provides a one to one service and she has helped me so much when I was changing medical practice and trying to sort out my prescriptions. I went to buy some over-the-counter painkillers and the woman who served me told me straight away to book a doctor's appointment, implying that I was buying too many of them or too often. However, she never asked if the painkillers were for me, why I was getting them, or if the information leaflet was being followed precisely. While I was paying, I felt the need to justify why I was buying them, but she just replied: "make sure you book that doctor's appointment", like if I was making up excuses. I understand that sometimes there are important things that employees have to tell customers, but I didn't appreciate how this was said to me. I never thought I would feel so uncomfortable when buying over-the-counter painkillers. I'm really sorry but I won't be coming back to this pharmacy.
Went in to Rowlands a day after the date my doctor advised me that my prescription would be ready. They said it would be ready after 4pm the next day, left my phone number so they could text me when it was ready. Wasn't worried at this point had re-ordered medicine so that if there were delays I wouldn't run out. This meant that the day they said it would be ready was my last day of medicine. I did not receive a text that day. Went in this morning to check if it was ready. They had two of my items but not the most important one. When I asked about this they looked at me as if I was stupid and they had never been sent that medicine. They blamed my doctor and told me to contact them on Monday. The medicine in question I have been on since a near death experience which resulted in a lengthy hospitalisation. This medicine prevents me from ending up in that condition again. For the first time in years I will be without this medicine. I had bad experiences in the past with Rowlands but family members had told me they were better now and they are right beside my home so I thought I'd give them a go again. Writing this to advise everyone to trust past experiences and never use Rowlands you can rely on them at all.
Just like to say that the staff abd the service I receive has been brilliant. Left a prescription todsy and they said it would be half hour. I left and said I will come back as there was no hurry. 30 mins later got a text saying it was ready. Staff are always so helpful. Never had any problems x

I felt the need to leave this review, as the customer service I've received from both Adrienne and Shaun has been phenomenal! I feel they both go above and beyond and this should be acknowledged by Rowlands. They are an absolute credit to your company and I hope they receive some much due credit for the service that the both deliver.
All I can say is its awful!! A few months ago, one of the members of staff behind the desk told me she thought I may have skin cancer (it turned out to be excema) having me in a complete panic I left in tears. Turns out she wasn't even the pharmacist. Everytime I order anything for my son there's an issue. The latest was my sons milk as he has an allergy which I was told had been ordered on the 31st January and would be in today and then called today to be informed they don't have any order done. Iv called around numerous other chemists and none have his milk in stock meaning my baby has to be drastically cut to ensure it lasts until we get more. I had phoned to order a week ago when he had 2 tins left and I'm now down to less than half a tin with them thinking it should be in Monday I'm beyond fuming. Iv complained in the past and been fobbed off so no point even trying. From now on I'll be going elsewhere!

This chemist is ridiculous. I’m sorry however you’re talking a half hour wait in a queue before you even get into the place. And then you’re probably going to be told that your prescription isn’t there Then the prescription ping pong between GP and chemist begins. And why on earth, after 2 years, are we still only allowing 2 folk in the chemist at any one time, creating a queue that resembles one for bread during the downfall of the Soviet Union.
