Like others have already remarked, I had a horrible experience with pharmacist Ishfaq Rasul at the Morrisons Newlands pharmacy when I was in to get my flu jab. Firstly, he asked me some very intrusive/inappropriate questions about a previous cancer diagnosis, which has absolutely nothing to do with the flu jab. Then when he administered the jab, it was extremely painful. I get the flu jab every year and have NEVER had a bad experience until now. When I remarked at how painful it was, he replied ‘it’s not up to me, it up to you. You tensed your arm and made it worse for yourself’. I was utterly appalled by his conduct. I got the feeling that he had an issue with me being a women, and from reading the other negative reviews about him on here it would certainly seem there is a trend of him being absolutely horrid to female customers. It’s clear to me that he requires some training in both soft skills and how to administer vaccines (e.g. the basics!)

Utterly shocked at the male pharmacist on today. He asked me to have a full consultation (regarding birth control) outwith the consultation room. He said "I'm just going to do the consultation here because the consultation room is in use". I told him I was not comfortable with this. It would have been in front of children, people in the queue and others doing their shopping in the store. After waiting for the room to be free, I find out his reasoning for asking this was because he would have to "clean up the mess after lunch" - because the staff have used the room to eat. I am appalled and extremely upset that anyone would ask this of someone and not ensure they have a safe consultation space. Especially considering the nature of the questions on a sexual health related form. Wildly unprofessional, please sort this out.

Pharmacist Ishfaq is extremely unprofessional and confrontational. Left my partner in tears by denying essential medications she needed without explanation. We were provided these without any problems at another pharmacy the same day and have had to make a formal complaint.

Came here yesterday 28/5 after a trip to the emergency out of hours team at the hospital. My son was very unwell and doctors prescribed him (among other things) an increased dose of his regular medication. The first thing the assistant said was "we probably don't have that in stock but we can order it for tomorrow or the next day". I asked if she could check and see if she had any at all she could give us, even one box, didn't matter the flavour. As she checked I saw at least 6 boxes in the drawer?! My main concern however is the pharmacist, as she was giving me the medicines she told me that this was a high dose, much higher than children usually get, I said I know he takes it regularly but we had just come from hospital and were told he needed 2 larger doses initially. She responded by cutting me off and telling me I should read the leaflet rather than go by the doctors advice. In her opinion he had made a mistake and it was much too high the usual dose was a quarter of that. As I was exhausted I didn't argue but on reflection I feel her advice was dangerous as not only was she contradicting a qualified doctor who had examined my son and his medical history, but the leaflet confirmed the dose the docter had prescribed, and to follow her advice would have resulted in him being admitted to hospital in sever pain. My son is on the mend now and in a lot less pain, thanks to doctors advice, but I wanted to warn others so they could think twice before going here, especially for advice.
