My son (5) and daughter (7) were fortunate to attend this club for one month and benefited tremendously. There is real warmth to the training sessions. Sensei Tufayl makes them light-hearted, entertaining whilst developing the fundamentals skills required for them to excel in BJJ. I know I will be returning if circumstances change. Highly recommend for all seeking a safe and enjoyable training environment for their children.

At first the prospect of starting BJJ seemed daunting, but as I went in for my first session, it was very welcoming. The coach is passionate about sharing his knowledge, and he wants to see you excel. The techniques are presented clearly, and the coach welcomes any questions you have. The team is respectful and friendly, and they take good care of you whilst grappling. Towards the latter end of the session, you get to put into practice the techniques learnt over time as you grapple with a variety of opponents. It's been around 6 months since I started, and I always leave the sessions feeling better than the way I came in, both physically and mentally.

I was visiting the area from Scotland to see family and was thrilled to discover Sunna Grappling Club nearby. From my initial contact with one of the instructors, Tufayl, to attending a nogi session, I was met with genuine warmth and kindness from everyone at the club. The instructors deliver high-quality, practical, and sport-specific teaching, ensuring the techniques are accessible and relevant. I highly recommend this club, whether you're a complete beginner or at an intermediate/advanced level.

I’ve been attending this club since 2016 and have felt so welcomed and supported by all of the other students. It can feel very daunting when attending a new club, especially when it’s a martial arts one! But SGC has an engaging and comedic Sensei named Tufayl, who uses film quotes from kung fu panda through to the karate kid during soars to push the students further. A few of the students have gone on to compete in local and national BJJ tournaments whilst others continue to train for years just to keep up their fitness or enjoy the company and atmosphere set within the club. I believe the club offers the first session free, so it’s definitely worth a go!

I cannot speak highly enough about this BJJ Club. From the moment our son walked in, he felt welcomed and supported by the amazing community they've built. The instructor is not only incredibly skilled but also passionate about sharing his knowledge and helping each student improve. The training sessions are well-structured and cater to all levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. Whether you're looking to learn self-defence, improve your fitness, or compete at a high level, they have something for everyone. The focus on technique and attention to detail ensures that you're not just learning moves but understanding the principles behind them. One of the things I appreciate most about this club is the friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Everyone, regardless of skill level, is treated with respect, and there's a real sense of camaraderie among the members. It's a place where you can push yourself to new limits while also forging meaningful friendships. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our decision of joining. It's not just a gym; it's a community, a family, and a place where you can grow both physically and mentally. If you're thinking about starting your BJJ journey or looking for a new club, we highly recommend giving them a try. You won't be disappointed!
