   Unfortunately not the first time I've had a problem with the pharmacist here. It's a pity because the rest of the staff are fantastic. This could have been a 5 star review but on this occasion the pharmacist ruined my day. I felt like I was unwelcome inconvenience to him. It's such a shame because the team of dispensing assistants here are very professional, friendly and welcoming. I called ahead, as I was running low on my regular prescription, and I was worried that I may run out over the festive holiday period. The girl I spoke to was very helpful and said they could "loan" me the medication until my repeat request was fulfilled. She informed me it would be ready to collect after 10am. I arrived at 10.15am and was having a chat with a friend I met in the shop. The pharmacist interrupted to ask what I wanted. I explained the situation, and the hen asked me what I wanted. I told him I require both items on my regular prescription. He then asked again what I wanted forcing me to state the items. This felt very uncomfortable and somewhat like a breach of privacy, considering he had the information on the computer screen Infront of him. He then told me I need to order my prescription on time in future. This gentleman's unpleasant attitude made me feel like I was nothing more than an unwelcome inconvenience to him. Unfortunately this man lets down the rest of the team at Spateston pharmacy who are absolutely brilliant. And this review is no reflection on them, I have lived here for over 50 years and have always used this pharmacy, however after this negative experience, I am now considering using an alternative pharmacy in the future.

   What an experience I had today! I am going on holiday and had 1 hour until i was being picked up, having been to other pharmacies to source diabetes medication for my daughter and being unsuccessful I went to Reach. I explained I only just realised that the medication was out of date and that I had been to other pharmacies when I had been out with no luck. The pharmacist and the assistants couldnt be of more help. They didnt have what I needed, however the phoned every pharmacy near us until the could find one that had it. Everyone was so helpful. Thank you all very much!

   I regularly use this pharmacy and I’ve always received excellent service. On the occasions I’ve required medical advice they have always been very knowledgeable and guided me in the right direction. The staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. They really care about their customers. I could not recommend them highly enough.

   Poor practice. In recent incident involving my prescription medication, which I believe constitutes a breach of data protection and has caused significant inconvenience.  I discovered that my prescribed sleep medication was not included with my regular medication order. Upon inquiry, I was informed that this decision was made by your pharmacy without my consent or prior notification. This action is unacceptable for the following reasons: Breach of Data: As a pharmacy, you act as a data processor under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. By making a decision about my medication without my consent, you have overstepped your role as a data processor and infringed on my rights as a data subject. Decisions regarding my medication should only be made by me or my prescribing healthcare professional, not by the pharmacy. Lack of communication: I was not informed of this decision in advance, nor was I given a valid explanation or alternative solution. This lack of communication is unprofessional and has eroded my trust in your service.
