This gym hounded me out by illegally discriminating against me on the basis of my disability (autism). I am extremely sensitive to aural overstimulation, and I required the radio to be turned off just while I was there because having to endure it was physically *excruciating*. I made a request for a reasonable adjustment under the Equality Act 2010, on the grounds that I *needed* the radio turned off (just while I was there) whereas nobody else *needed* it on. The radio had only started being played recently; for years prior, it had never been turned on, so the decision to turn it on was completely arbitrary, and so was their refusal. They said that other patrons might *want* it on, but wants do not trump needs, either as a matter of morality or as a matter of law. The way I was treated was disgusting and puerile, and I would advise anyone against joining this gym or any gym run by this company in the most strenuous of terms, because they have proven that they do not care about either their paying customers or their obligations under the law.

Shower's / changing rooms desperately need cleaning properly. Floors are not clean around the pool.

What a rubbish gym! Don’t waste your money!! Front of house staff USELESS, manager even worse! Better service at budget gyms! Absolute rip off! £11 plus for a casual day pass to use the gym, more expensive than London gyms that are 5x the size of this tiny vegetarian style gym, it’s pathetic! £51 plus for gym membership again more expensive than London clubs! £40 for a junior membership!!!! Crappy bathrooms dirty all round & just shoddy! All prices are way way waaay overpriced for what you get! Not even a discount on swimming for an existing gym member! They have truly gone out of their way on every angle to make this place as expensive as possible whilst zero investment in upgrading anything whatsoever!

I'm a fairly regular user of the swimming facilities but after today I won't be returning. It's been getting worse over time. Pool area smelled like a pond. Constantly getting covered in other people's long hairs that are floating in the water. No one showers before entering the pool and people spectating are wearing shoes around the pool. Sorry guys but I can't cope with the grime anymore.

Front of house staff are pleasant and helpful. Gym facilities are very good and popular. HOWEVER, the showers are in dire need of improvement/replacement and are frequently cold. Additionally very disappointing, is the standard of care over cleanliness in the men's changing room, which leaves a great deal to be desired! Recently, the supposed cleaning of the men's changing room left the floor covered in a film of brown, dirty water from a wet mop that had clearly just been pushed around with little concern for actually washing the dirt away. Recent significantly reduced staffing numbers clearly means remaining staff are under a great deal of pressure but this disappointing issue is just not good enough and discourages one from using the showers at all.

Lots of classes to choose from. Would like more zumba classes . Receptionists are super friendly, helpful and very efficient.

Been a member here since 2014. If you want supportive personal trainers and decent facilities then this is a great choice. I couldn’t ask for a better experience. Would thoroughly recommend. Reception staff are also always lovely and organised.

I only use the pool there, which is old but well maintained. Changing rooms are cleaned regularly. Nothing to complain about!

Was referred by my doctor was told only one person could deal with me and he only came in on Thursdays I rang and left numerous messages once with one female receptionist who was very rude. This guy never called me back and I've had to wait for over a month to even start. He left one message in late November saying he couldn't fit me in till at least January and that's the last I've heard either none of my messages have been passed on by the various staff I have left them with or the gent in question is very unprofessional. I wanted to start as soon as possible but that seems to be a problem although I've used gyms all my life he has to be the one that gives me permission. I wouldn't ask to use this gym usually but due to bad health and finance's it's my only option it's too small, too crowded either with bratty kids or most of Caterham,it's far too expensive if you don't swim or even if you do it's pricey, the changing rooms and toilets are falling apart the opening hours are limited especially on weekends. They are very disorganised even when you call during the weekdays between 12 and 5pm you are lucky if someone answers the phone usually it goes to answerphone and if you are lucky someone will call you back in a few hours or a few days later. Terrible.
