My daughter has been attending Classical Ballet Studio for over 4 years and we couldn’t be happier. Julia and Ellie are amazing—so talented, patient, and passionate. My daughter loves every class. Thank you for creating such a wonderful environment!
My daughter has been attending the classical ballet school for many years and has loved it. The teachers and the standard of dance here is phenomenal. My daughter has achieved the highest marks in all her exams and that is from the 5 star training they get here at the school. Thank you Julia and team ☺️.
I have been a part of this school for many years and have only had a positive experience- I was helped to reach grade 7 by the exemplary teachers who work here. I felt pushed to work harder as a ballerina from a place of love and care, and have achieved all my goals because of this school. Additionally, the studio itself is beautiful, clean and well-kept, and I felt fully prepared for each of my exams.
Had mixed but mainly negative experience with this school: 1. High standards of teaching and dances in the routine week classes based on Russian Ballet School background (Vaganoff? System). 2. Lovely and highly professional teacher Ellie (always respectful to their students). 3. Well-equipped class, beautiful uniform and the exam opportunity. 3. The Grading / exam system - not transparent and not clear (no strict rules and policies). The head-teacher changed rules back/forward several times without prior notice and legal explanation out of her head. 4. The Ballet Camps: teachers were working the majority of time with several the oldest / the most experienced / top students. All others were often sitting at the back of the class without any teachers attention. The payment for the camp was the same as for the top students. We watched the performance at the end of the camp: Just a few seconds of simple group dance with quite simple movements for younger students (doesn’t correspond with their level and abilities) and several long individual dances for the top students. Significantly different values / decor / quality of costumes for the top students and all others. Obviously parents of younger students paid for the private tutoring for the top students and for their expensive costumes. In this case there should be significant discount for the camp price for younger children. All the students should get what was advertised equally. Total absolute disappointment.
A truly wonderful ballet school! The teachers are amazing — professional, caring, and truly passionate about what they do. They know how to bring out the best in every child and create a warm, supportive atmosphere that feels like a second home. The school combines high standards with kindness and encouragement, and my daughter has grown so much — not only as a dancer, but in her confidence and love for ballet and contemporary dance. My 9 year old daughter started attending the Classical Ballet school 4 years ago, just before the pandemic. Julia and Ellie supported her first steps in ballet, and not only inspired her through online classes and workshops, but later welcomed her to face to face classes, helping her find her own identity and expression through ballet. My daughter runs to every class, looking forward to learning more about new techniques, styles, and most importantly about the way she can express herself through dance. She is learning to make mistakes and learn from them in a safe and encouraging environment. Her self-confidence has escalated tremendously, mostly thanks to her teachers' ability to inspire and lift her motivation up in every class. MY daughter tries to attend most holiday camps and has recently joined folk dance classes in addition to classical ballet training, too- which she absolutely adores! As a parent, I receive timely feedback, as well as helpful training advice and videos that my daughter can watch, if she wants to continue practicing at home. Thank you, Julia and team, for being the place where my daughter has found connection to her inner light, talent and some amazing like-minded friends. There is no other place like your studio.
Excellent ballet school! The school provides an excellent education in ballet, and my daughters have both love their lessons and achieve excellent results. Julia and the other teachers are very skilled in capturing students' attention and bringing out the best in them. Every child feels special and valued and is taught to love and be responsible for the job they do. The teachers are also very approachable and helpful. I'm very thankful to Julia for guiding us through the ballet/dance education and giving my girls the best experience and opportunity to excel. Highly recommended!
My eldest daughter has started the ballet with Julia 5 years ago. She loved it instantly. Julia is very professional, kind and she has a great passion for dance. She implemented the same love for ballet to my daughter and now she has been admitted into Royal Ballet. My second daughter has just started ballet classes and after 2 terms we can see a huge improvement not only into dance itself, but attitude and behaviour. Julia is always supportive and although the Covid affected her business, she always put the children and families first and was a constant into our lives. I have recommended Julia to a few friends and they are all very happy and the feedback was always positive. I cannot recommend Julia well enough.
If you want results, opportunities and professionalism then Classical Ballet Studios is the school to be part of. Julia and her team are thorough, they know exactly how to improve every single students technique as well as the expectations of parents. Having come from a professional dance background myself I can certainly say my daughter’s experience here has made ALL the difference. This school not only teaches the discipline of Ballet but allows them to perform and enhance in other areas of dance and rhythmic gymnastics. My 9 year old has achieved above all expectations winning Gold at the London Championships in 2022 as well as receiving 40/40 for the dance aptitude test at Mill Hill County High School. The constant assurances, the time, the effort is all down to her teachers - Julia and her team are an exception and l thank you for this outstanding standard you all provide.
I personally tried a lot of ballet schools in North London for my daughter but none of them are on the same level as Classical Ballet Studio. This is simply the best ballet school. A big thank you goes to all teachers, but especially to Julia, the principal of the school. When I met Julia for the first time, I knew straight away that she is a very professional teacher. She is one of those teachers, who not only help children to achieve high grades but she also shares her love of ballet with them. Julia is a very talented and inspiring teacher, who always acts in the interest of children. I would highly recommend the school to anyone who is looking for ballet lessons in North London.
