As a complete beginner, I was a bit nervous to start dancing, but Base Dance Studios was fantastic. The atmosphere was so welcoming and the instructor was brilliant at making everyone feel comfortable, regardless of their skill level. There were plenty of other guys in the class, which was great, and everyone was there to have fun and learn. Definitely recommend to any beginner!

Parents, dont sssociate with this place, it is toxic. Well presented premises, but poor standard of customer service and a negative culture overall. Their management will do everything in their power to defend any wrong actions of their staff members at any cost. As a customer your rights are NOT protected at all and they don't value your well-being or have your best interest at heart. Imagine as a parent sending their children to a place that you believe is a safe and caring environment, where you seek to believe that you will find a solution and understanding in any kind of situation and you will have a VOICE - NOT that place! They will twist evidence and bring arguments against you and NEVER apologies for their actions. This means they DONT CARE! There is no way you can raise a complaint, and there is no way you will be heard or find solution. How can that be reassuring for customers? As a fun fact: they overcharge and feel its ok to charge customers for hot water from machine (that is free by nature)....

Honestly such a bad experience at Base. I signed up for a class literally 30 minutes before it started, then tried to cancel because I had an accident and couldn't come, but they still marked it as a late cancellation and wouldn’t budge. Zero flexibility, zero customer care. No wonder Manor is catching up — you can take classes with the same teachers but in a much better environment. Base is just terrible, not only the facilities but also the way they treat people. This place is starting to feel like Studio 68 back in the day… all hype, no substance. Plenty of better options out there — save yourself the headache and avoid this rubbish studio. Go to manor or other studio. You can find the same teacher with similar price, better changing room as well.

Lovely dance studio has many dancing rooms, with good sound and space the changing rooms and toilets were clean, the coffee store is very limited, people working in there do not bother to clean the tables perhaps could improve a bit. They have a small shop for clothing, a vendo machine. Tables to seat indoors and outside

Had an amazing week with great choreo classes; but classes are def overcrowded. I read in reviews their answer to a similar comment saying that the number of people in the room is appropriate according to something something whatever. The truth is, it is just overcrowded.

BASE has a great variety of different classes and teachers and the prices are just right. On the other note, it is not the safest dance school. As an example, there are no gender neutral toilets and changing rooms. It feels very controversial that they offer voguing classes, which should be inclusive for LGQTB+ communities and then they won't even offer proper facilities...

Gutted and in bits. I always work hard, however things in life cannot be helped. 2 cancelled trains, one 15 minute journey to another station for that train to be cancelled and the last delayed meaning I would miss the class. I ring up and asked for a simple transfer to another class not even a full refund of £15 and they wouldn’t do it. I’ve paid for 3 Ubers and 2 trains and they simply couldn’t put me in a class later. Now sat on a train on my way to London 6pm on a Tuesday wondering what to do now and quite upset after trying my best

Massive variety of classes, including well known folk you'll recognise from other London dance studios. Classes are often 90 minutes (at cheaper prices!), so you get more of a chance to learn the choreo. People pay before class (no door fee, just class fee) so teachers don't have to stop teaching to collect money from people. Since opening they've fixed the remaining bits and pieces - there are benches in change rooms now and mirrors in the studios don't get misty any more! No showers though.
