   I first joined DT dance 11 years ago. As you can imagine from the fact I've stayed 11 years (and am only now having to stop because of leaving London to go to uni) I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone I've interacted with has pretty much been great. I particularly have enjoyed doing 4 (I believe) shows throughout that time. I think the shows that DT dance put on with all the students (the most recent one being Alice in Wonderland) are an absolutely incredible thing to get to be a part of. Honestly, if you're wanting to do ballet and you're thinking of DT dance I genuinely cannot say enough good things.

   I am so grateful I found Dilek Taptik School of Dance. I took ballet throughout my childhood and teen years, then later as an adult I tried so many different adult ballet classes. But I never found quite what I was looking for until I found Dilek’s school. It’s the most wonderful and supportive learning environment, with a friendly and encouraging atmosphere that makes you feel so welcome and at ease. It also enabled me to continue with the RAD syllabus rather than open classes so that I can really work on improving my technique and advancing through the RAD repertoire, but without the pressure of having to take exams. It has made ballet fun again! It enables me to have structure to my classes and feel motivated as I progress through the syllabus. And I can learn alongside dancers of different ages, levels and objectives—such an inclusive atmosphere! Dilek’s teaching style is brilliant…she truly pays equal attention to all her students whether they are adults or not, and whether they are preparing for an exam or not, so you are sure to improve your technique and be given corrections that make sense. She takes the lessons seriously, but at the same time makes you feel so at home and supported. I always feel challenged during her classes but whilst having loads of fun! This school has allowed me to reconnect with my love of ballet, to improve my knowledge and technique and to make a lovely group of friends. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend it to anyone else.

   DT Dance is the absolute best. Dilek and her teaching staff are brilliant and so friendly and excellent teachers. The whole school is very welcoming, each person shows a commitment to the craft while also having fun in every lesson. You will feel at home if you are looking to share in a love of ballet, the performance element as well as the fitness.

   Having trained across the vast majority of dance spaces in London, I can safely say that DTDance is the absolute best place for ballet training in London (if not the world!) After just one year of taking class at DT Dance, my technique and ability has improved in ways I could not imagine. Dilek and her teaching staff are absolutely incredible educators, and every class is like a masterclass. Dilek always goes above and beyond for every single one of her students and DT Dance is the most wonderful community to be a part of. My only regret is not discovering it sooner!

   Dilek is the best ballet teacher I’ve ever trained with. She really cares about the individual improvement of all her pupils and pushes you to be the best dancer you can be. The atmosphere she creates at the school and in her classes is friendly, supportive and fun. As an adult ballet dancer, I could not recommend her enough!

   I have 2 daughters (13 yrs old and 10 yrs old) and they both attend Ms Dilek’s ballet classes. They enjoy their classes a lot. They have also advanced very fast with Ms Dilek thanks to her disciplined approach combined with humour and genuine fun. My older daughter really likes the ‘community’ feeling and she made some very good friends. I highly recommend this school if you have a serious interest in ballet and you also want to keep the joy and fun of learning.

   I love DT dance because I have become more confident in dance both in ballet and musical theatre. Ms Dilek and her team are amazing, so caring and passionate about teaching ballet. I have been able to gain distinction in both of my exams and I know with their support I can gain more.

   My little girl first started with Dilek when she had turned 2 and was wearing a nappy for her first ever show, Alice in Wonderland,. Dilek trusted that she would rise to the occasion and so she did. Dilek expects the best from her students and consequently she produces great things. There is a positive atmosphere at the school and my child has made lifelong friends there.The shows are wonderful and of such a high standard. .Dilek has been a constant presence in my daughter’s life , no more importantly than during both Lockdowns when Dilek’s commitment, energy and kindness was a weekly joy in her life. Linda and Dilek are wonderful, kind, patient but exacting teachers and we are hugely fortunate to have such a ballet school in Waterloo!

   Both of our girls atten Dilek's school of dance and love it. As well as learning ballet they also enjoy the variation of classes available to them. They especially love the musical Jazz classes. Dilek is able to bring together many dancers to inspire the children with different dance techniques.

   My eldest daughter who's now 11 started lessons with Dilek when she was four and three years later, her younger sister Ella joined too. They both love their classes with Dilek and her team so much that my eldest travels all the way from her new school in Brockley just to attend her class on a Wednesday eve in Waterloo. Last year's show the school produced was truly wonderful with amazing choreography and costumes. The girls are now working towards their next grade exam this summer. Dilek and her team are great teachers whom the girls really like and respect. I highly recommend this ballet school.
