   I’ve attended twice now, and the experience has been mixed. This time I started in the intermediate salsa class, but it moved far too quickly with almost no breakdown, so I left after struggling to follow. The 1.5 option for salsa was explained later, but it wasn’t clear upfront where someone progressing from beginner was supposed to go. I then joined the beginner bachata class halfway through, and the teacher there was excellent — warm, clear, and genuinely supportive. She encouraged me to attend the beginner bachata level to build the basics properly, which made sense. However, by that point I’d already been moved around several times between rooms and levels (similar to what happened with salsa), and it became difficult to know where I actually fit. In the next bachata class, the teacher asked about my level and explained the structure, which I appreciated, but I realised I wasn’t in the right headspace to continue and decided to leave early. Overall, the bachata teaching — especially in the first class — was fantastic. The main issue for me was the lack of clear guidance at the start of the night on where progressing beginners should go. Better explanation and direction would make the experience much smoother.

   Been to a range of salsa and bachata classes around London and the instructors and groups at Salsateca are the best, you really get what you pay for. The teachers really care and are engaged and they all bring a different area of focus and expertise. Will continue to go for months and always recommend it to friends!

   I joined Salsateca (Warren Street) in early September, starting in the beginners' class with Virginia. What stood out to me immediately was her genuine passion for dancing, which she effortlessly shares with her students. Attending classes every Monday and Wednesday, I noticed that Virginia not only remembers my progress but also consistently encourages me to improve, even as a beginner. Her personalised approach gave me the confidence to take a leap and join the improvers' class after just a few weeks, further deepening my love for Latin American dancing. Despite moving on from the beginners' class, Virginia remains approachable and always takes the time to answer my questions, such as understanding salsa timings and beats. In the improvers' class, most of my Salsa and Bachata lessons are taught by Fran, with occasional classes by Edi. Both are fantastic instructors who make every session enjoyable and engaging. Whether it's learning moves like the Madrid, body roll, hammerlock, or Copa, I always leave each class having gained something new. Since joining, my Monday and Wednesday evenings have become the highlight of my week, giving me something to eagerly look forward to. The community at Warren Street is truly amazing, and I’m excited to continue growing on my dancing journey with them! To anyone who wants to try out a new hobby, you won't regret choosing Salsateca as your dance school!

   Virginia from Salsateca Dance School attended our corporate Latin Hispanic Heritage month event and was a great dancing instructor. Her great charisma and sense of humour teased many of our colleagues into dancing not only solo but as couples! We all had a great night! Will be booking Salsateca again!!!!

   Salsateca has honestly been a breath of fresh air for me. Working a 9–5 office job, this has been the perfect way to break up my week and bring some fun into my evenings. The vibe is always great – the music lifts you up straight away, the instructors are brilliant at what they do, and everyone is so welcoming, no matter your level. Since joining, I’ve noticed a real positive change in my mental health – it gives me something fun to look forward to during the week and has even improved my sleep. For anyone thinking about trying salsa or bachata as a beginner, I’d highly recommend Salsateca. You’ll feel at home from the first class.

   I’ve been at multiple dance studios, but this one has the nicest staff, most beautiful and relaxing environment, its an awesome place to learn how to dance. You can come for the socials and dance the night away after classes :). They have classes for the absolute beginners to the advanced. Would definitely recommend the classes!

   The fact that they offer Cuban, Cross body Salsa and Bachata classes in one place across different locations of your choice make Salsatec peculiar. Also having different teachers for the same class made me improve and adapt different techniques. The teachers are competent, friendly, tolerant, nonjudgmental and always willing to help. I have been attending Salsatec for the past 3 month to start with Intermediate level to advance Level and enjoy every single moment. Overall, I started dancing salsa in Sept 2021 as a beginner and feel like I have been dancing salsa forever because of the help I received. I am so grateful to be part of this school.

   I've been to quite a few schools and I can ay that Salsateca are consistent. They are on time and well organised. Their teachers are very good and talented. Given the variety they do, they do it well. As always there is a lot more that can be done. But overall very good and professional outfit. No wonder they have been around for over 30 years! Awesome founder, awesome staff and dance teachers!

   Stumbled across this wonderful event and experienced beautiful Salsa lesson guided by charming and skilled Salsateca trainers this evening (Sun). The location can't be better with the backdrop of Tower Bridge and the Shard. The vibe was cool as all learners joined in with full spirit regardless of levels. A must-return do. Highly recommended!    Salsateca are amazing, the teachers are really friendly and are able to work with all experience levels. I went to my first class in 2019 just to try something new and I was hooked! Even through the pandemic there were options to dance and I'm now doing 2 or 3 Salsateca classes a week plus the social dances. Absolutely love it and the sense of community and the friends I've made have helped me so much.
