I was cycling along the Bristol Road when I hit a stone and my bike fell into the road. The owner of the cafe ran straight over with a first aid kit and offered to help. I was shaken up but didn't feel I needed medical attention so she invited us into the cafe to recover. She very kindly made myself and my partner a cup of tea and was very friendly. I had visited the cafe years ago and could see that it had been refurbished to a very high standard and was clean and inviting. After drinking our tea and having a lovely chat with the owner, we went to pay and she would not accept. This was incredibly heart warming and such a lovely gesture. Thank you so much! I would highly recommend Zubs for cleanliness, great food and a warm and friendly atmosphere!

Lovely friendly little cafe with a good menu. We enjoyed everything we ordered - the Turkish kofta, an omelette and a BLT - all really tasty! Drinks were also well made snd lovely and hot. We then tried Zubs homemade cheesecake and it was as good as it looked! We will definitely be back!

Today (Friday 3rd) we were on our way to visit family and as we were coming towards Zubs cafe, our car broke down....the brakes failed and we literally just had time to pull into the car park. We were obviously shaken, but luckily had breakdown which we called immediately. The insurance company said the RAC would phone us when on way, I literally put the phone down and the RAC rang and said they would be there in minutes as he was only up the road. He arrived within minutes and straight away got his ramp out the back of his van and started to hoist our car up. As this was happening, a dark haired woman came out of the cafe and came up to us, she said "you are ****king rude for not coming into the cafe" we couldn't believe her attitude and even the RAC man stood open mouthed, we said she was rude for swearing at us and it was an emergency as our brakes failed. The woman just kept on saying we were rude and should of gone in the cafe and it's private property, she told us to "take our ****king car and **** off!!!" We were there 20 minutes at the most, the car park had one other vehicle in it, so it wasn't busy and we were not obstructing anyone. I spent most of the time on the phone to the insurance, RAC and a taxi company, we were in distress at the time and it didn't even occur to us that we should of gone into the cafe and announced that we were outside. I hope we never break down again and I hope even more it's nowhere near Zubs cafe!

The Best in the area , got a five star award recently from the Food Hygiene Rating that really says it all regards to its quality and service. The food is some of the highest quality for a cafe and cooked fresh for each customer. This cafe is well respected and been established 90 years a credit to the area.
