Was in Waitrose cafe today, and asked the lady behind the till whether she could please fill our water bottle up, she silently pointed her finger to her left side where the water jug was (didn’t say any word to us), we had asked her directly because there was only a little bit of water in the jug. As directed, we used the rest of the water jug to fill the bottle up to a 1/4 and she watched us whilst we did this. We then walked over and handed her the water jug whilst she begrudging filled it up, no words nothing just silence. Lady had white/ dyed (bits of blue?) short hair, no name tag on her apron - was on the till just after 1pm. Definitely should not be in customer service, came across as very rude, and arrogant. It all felt very unnecessarily hostile given the circumstances.

A normal Tuesday in August - went for lunch - no sandwiches and no hot food. I was told this after having waited in a queue. Both myself, and the couple in front of me, left without buying anything. Who is managing this place?

It is advertised to open at 7:30 am but I had to ask a member of the shop staff to find out what time it actually opened, it was 9:30am! I went there and chose the protien porridge which was ok. One member of staff looked like she hated working there and when I asked her to fill my water bottle she looked so unfriendly like she resented being asked. I was very disappointed with my experience, the name Waitrose is traditionally synonymous with customer service but not here. Its actually quite shocking how bad it was.

Unfortunately I think the Saturday staff aren't trained in how to toast bread, although after talking to them they said it's all preset with instructions so maybe the ovens are not working correctly?... We arrived at 3pm where despite being open until 7pm they only had Welsh rarebit and toasties available, we opted for the rarebit but it turned out to be tepid coagulated mush on untoasted bread. I returned this and exchanged it for a toasty, this was marginally better but again the bread wasn't toasted but it was slightly warm at least. The young staff members on duty were helpful and apologetic but yes, I kind of expected more from a waitrose cafe! We won't be back...

I gave a 5* because I love Waitrose! My toastie was okay and the cappuccino was fine. A very clean and airy place. Relaxed atmosphere! The service was good and friendly. It is very convenient and simple for meeting and catching up with friends. All in all, it always had a good visit here!

The place is nice and staff are very friendly. Pea and ham soup with roll bread was £4.50. It was delicious! They also have several options of hot drinks, pastries and meal deal options as well.
