This is my go-to local coffee shop. The place is really nice and tidy, with a calm and relaxing atmosphere. The coffee is good here, as well as the food. The staff are very friendly.
Every time I order a £4 chai latte from this particular store they use the minimum amount of chai powder like it's gold dist, all you taste is milk and cinnamon. I ask for extra chai and he says if you want it sweet you need to pay extra for a vanilla shot. I just want to taste the chai. I don't have this problem in coffee# in town, perfect every time. Fishponds coffee# needs new management to teach staff how to make the drinks and deliver a service. No stars
Good coffee, make sure to get the house coffee. Great pastries (well priced and tasty). Awesome ambience and atmosphere. Dog treats available for dogs (or their owners if they so prefer). Friendly staff. Awesome tables, good for working. Not too noisy.
Ordered an Americano with hot milk. When I tasted it I took it back as it tasted like it had sugar in it. I was told by the server it was the blend but she offered to prepare another. As I believed her I thought a replacement was pointless. As I got down to the last inch of coffee it got sweeter. I touched the inside of the cup and my fingers came away sticky. There had obviously been sugar in the cup. The server said no sugar had been added at the counter, therefore I can only guess the sugar was already in the cup. I questioned if it had been washed properly, and was told it was a clean cup. Magic cups then!
Adore the coffee from here. Always get the dark roast and never fails to give that beautiful caffeine hit. Everyone I've bought cakes for also say how good they are (not a cake person myself so haven't tried). Good loyalty scheme too and discount for filling own cup.
