   My 15 month old son was in hospital being treated for burns after being collected from nursery on the 31st October 2023. His clothes were soaked in some form of substance that left him trying to rip his clothes off and violently thrashing about. He was seen by 4 consultants, referred to the burns unit and a plastic surgeon was consulted for advice. Social services and the police have been involved and have agreed that the nursery are at fault and the incident took place while he was in their care. We have informed the HSE, the care inspectorate has been informed and we are waiting to hear back from the ongoing police investigation. My son is the second child in 2 years to be seriously harmed at this nursery do not send your kids here!! Google Firtrees nursery motherwell rat poisoning to see other story.
