Absolutely a disgrace. I got a text from a GP asking me to make a phone call appointment.i have been calling the practice for over 2 weeks now and still can’t get a phone call appointment. I have been as short as number 38 in a queue for an appointment but keep getting told no appointments. Absolute disgrace. Shouldn’t even get the one star
You can never make an appointment at this place and you always get the feeling that they do not want you to call them or talk to them or contact them in any way. When you visit place is always empty with no one ever sitting waiting, but somehow there are no appointments. If I could put zero stars, I would do it.
Went to see a doctor beginning of summer . She was amazing and understanding and referred me urgently to the hospital unfortunately still waiting for that urgent appointment. However my symptoms are still here and stronger and even more painful . Tried to go back and see a doctor get some more help but ive got nothing .She was extremely rude not even wanted to hear me out . Never even tried to make some test just to see if i have any infections or anything . She put this question to herself “ Oh Do i have to send you to hospital? No so i dont understand what do you want from me ? “ like what is this doctor??? Are you actually being serious?! Ive got soo angry so i just ended up walking out ! So i went and book private appointment and we have found out that i have a huge infection and need antibiotics! Looking forward to get all the important info how to make an Official complain about this doctor! Absolutely ridiculous ! The receptionist were more nice and understanding and she was offering me the same day appointment and this is what ive got from an actual doctor. Rude and careless !
Impossible to make an appointment! I tried to make an appointment for my child twice and it's the same every time. I call at 8.00 and it says "we've reached the capacity fot the same day appointments" how?!
Consistently rude, impatient and unhelpful reception staff. They are all too keen to scorn you for asking to make an appointment in person. There is no way to book an appointment of any kind other than by phone, with waiting time regularly over an hour and an unstable connection, despite the website saying otherwise.
They refused to register me. Despite the fact that I have paid to the government for medical insurance and the GP being nearest to my house, they denied me saying they dont have a space. During this tough time they have shown lack of sensitivity. Pathetic.
Dr McHale is the finest of Doctors indeed. An individual with true empathy for whatever need you have and an encyclopedic knowledge of the body and mind. I have dealt with this Doctor on various occasions and feel this is as close as I can get to a truly holistic medical experience. The Doctor always calls when advised and actually listens to you before formulating a plan to facilitate your return to health. A true credit to the medical profession in a time where medical staff are pressured and generally over-worked!
Dr McHale is an excellent GP. She is very caring and knowledgeable.
The doctor overly pushed and superficially attended my friend. She was too reluctant to help her and refer her to a specialist. Equally, she was too pushy and reluctant to hear the information that I wanted to share about my friend's medical history. Note that my friend's mental condition doesn't allow her to have a cohesive and descriptive speech (and thoughts), thus she is not capable of disclosing crucial information about her condition and medical history. Now, my friend she is in shock because of this "doctor" and she can't trust the NHS Lothian. She wants just to leave the country since she is not getting any help here, whilst she is in an urgent need to receive some medical and pharmaceutical treatment. This incident has left us (her friends) to deal with a serious mental health issue without having any significant help. Utterly disappointing and failing the Hippocratic Oath that this person has supposedly given.
