   Very cosy atmosphere and inviting with the warm fire. The barman Oscar was both very professional and friendly and gave us a nice warm welcome. He also let me try the different ciders so I could make an informed choice. The food was lovely: good sized portions and good value for money.

   The smallest pub in Bath! Friendly staff and locals. Always seems to be room to squeeze in for a drink, though if Bath rugby are at home it's pretty rammed post-match. Reasonable prices and several local beers and ciders.

   Had hoped for slightly better food as this felt like something I could buy from M&S and experience the same taste. Staff was friendly though, and it was a nice place to relax in Bath.

   My favourite of all times, I've drank beer in here on and off for 33 years and I love it! dog friendly, get some real characters and people just visiting Bath, pop in the stronger beers are the best and if you're lucky a drinking game will occur. Everyone and thing is friendly here, love it!

   Terrible service. I visited this pub before, and although the service wasn't great, I decided to give it a second chance. So I went for lunch again on Sunday 04/12 and I had the feeling that none of the staff wanted to be there. The waitress was outrageously rude and the young barman would constantly huff and looked annoyed when serving. When talked to, they would constantly pretend they didn't hear you or answer with monosyllables. I'll definitely never return. The worse eating experience in Bath. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

   Smelt like egg, toilets were disgusting, unwelcoming service - as if we were an inconvenience for purchasing beer! It's a one star only because there were interesting books on pubs upstairs.

   Saturday lunch and afternoon pints Old school pub with dated interior but this was great and added loads of character. Had three or four local beers on handpumps and tried three and all were good. Quiet although hidden away a bit down an alley which suited us as away from tourist drag.. Staff were very friendly and we had great service. Chef pointed out specials and we ended up having one those, some lovely chicken with excellent salads. Sat in the seating upstairs with window boxes in full colour and a sunny day. Very reasonably prices for good food. Excellent all round.
