A lovely little, quirky bar. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the drinks they were serving. You cannot book but we got to the bar around 5.30 on a Sunday and were seated straight away. It is small and I would guess it gets quite busy on drier nights, and especially Friday/Saturday nights. We will be back again at some point in the future to keep trying out the menu!

Absolutely loved this cosy little bar. Perfect for a romantic evening. Music was great, the selection was unique and the cocktails were absolutely delicious. We only intended to pop in, but stayed until closing. Staff were super friendly, attentive and knowledgeable too. Will definitely be returning next time I’m in Bath.
Great place to enjoy a well made cocktail or whiskey. The bartender was very knowledgeable and made the experience an excellent one. Not cheap but IMHO money well spent
One of my favorite cocktail bars in all of the UK. We have been to Bath three times (so far) and each time we have enjoyed visiting The Hideout multiple times. The cocktails are well thought out and have enjoyable stories in the menu. The best part, of course, is that they taste great. These people know their spirits. If you don’t want a cocktail, stop in for a dram. They will help you find exactly what you want.
Great cocktail bar with a great concept. It was UK hip hop based when we most recently visited with cocktails based around iconic UK hip hop albums and the menu presented as a CD insert. Make for an experience that’s a little different, we often take visiting friends and family there.
This may be one of the coolest cocktail bar’s we have ever been too in our lives. We were on Google Maps in search of a cocktail bar close to the city center in Bath. We had just come from the Roman Baths, so it was only a two minute walk away. As you walk down the Parade Passage road the Hideout is actually tucked down some stairs in a little “Hideout!”. There is a sign in front that states that they are the 35th Best Cocktail Bar in the UK which is amazingly hilarious statistic. So, what sets this whiskey cocktail bar apart? All of their drinks are titled and put in a “Hideout Hip-Hop Hits Volume” album. Yes, each drink is created as a single named after 90’s British Hip Hop music. Cool right? Like, really really cool, right? We started sitting inside and really enjoyed listening to some British bangers. They have over 200 different types of whisky and a couple of great wines on their menu as well. They also serve some small snacks if you’re hungry and want to lounge a bit. The cocktails are so unique but they do serve the staples if you’re not feeling adventurous. They range from £7.50 - £15.00 (with most of them being around £10-£11) and are worth the price. Delicious. The first two drinks we ordered were off the specials menu (Donkey Kong & the Kirby) so if they’re still available definitely try either of those two. We also tried the T N Biscuits, and the South Sider, both were equally as great. We eventually moved outside and got chatting with some locals (so you know it’s great if locals drink there). They’re open Monday - Friday 5pm to 11pm, Saturday 2pm to 11pm, and Sunday 4pm-11pm. If you do decide to pop by and are feeling the vibe, ask for a Crab Smasher and tell them The Bourques Abroad sent you :)
Nice little basement cocktail bar near the Abbey. It was a hip hop themed night so even though it's not our usual scene we had a great time. Their solid menu was still available and classics like a Margarita, Daquiri and Whiskey Sour all hit the spot.
