Good atmosphere. The staff were friendly, but disappointing meal experience. Waited 1.5hrs for meals, one of which was then almost inedible as pie dried out. Perhaps we were just unlucky on this occasion

Went to take advantage of the very reasonable £11 lunch deal. Food was good and portion size very reasonable and range of drinks included is good, only minor gripe was my choice of 'included' drinks wasn't available and I asked if I could have a Madri instead which they said was fine. It was only at the till that I was informed this was extra. Yes it's only a quid more, but it would just be good to tell people beforehand so there's no surprise at the till. Would return!

Amazing roast dinner!! Came here with my in laws today for Father’s Day. We had never been here before but just moved to the area and thought we would give it a try as the roasts sounded good. All 6 of us had starters and the triple roast of pork, beef and chicken. Every single one of us couldn’t find a single fault with the food, it was absolutely incredible, had so much flavour and was presented really well. The pork in particular was to die for and we’ve all said we will come back again. The outside sitting area looks lovely too- definitely looks like a good environment for a relax and a few beers. Staff were really friendly and attentive too. Thanks so much :)

I'm always wary of posting about places I know, the Moorend is my local, I know it well, I might be accused of bias. However, my wife and I ate here this evening. My wife had the Taiwanese prawn curry, she finished it all, an empty plate, a remarkable thing. I had the pulled lamb shepherd's pie with seasonal veg, I also finished it, another empty plate. Both were hot, full of flavour and delicious. I had sticky Toffee pudding for desert, I was told I couldn't lick my plate. My wife had an enormous 'mini' Eton mess. Another empty dish. An amazing evening. Service was attentive and exemplary, despite them being busy. Staff were were friendly and responsive. Price was moderate given the size of our portions, but I would have gladly paid more for the meal, it was that good. All tables were taken so I suggest booking on a busy event day and aways on a Sunday. There's is a car park at the back, and a garden for a Sunny day. Maybe I'll see you in there...

A particularly woeful experience. Not greeted by anyone when we arrived. Found our table but ignored. Had to flag down a waitress. Long wait for food. Food sent back as steaks were almost raw. They weren’t even busy.

Very disappointed with the meal. I think they are trying too hard. Good plain meals would go down better than messing about with the food and not getting it right. Please rethink your menus. We were not the only ones there was five other customers felt the same.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch today..roast pork belly and turkey - both tasty, home cooked, good quality with plenty of meat and fresh vegetables. The pub has recently been refurbished and we sat in the bar, now updated - attractive and welcoming. We have been to the pub over the years, and enjoyed the experience....having been back after a few months away, we will continue to do so.

Popped here for a family lunch after a morning of chores. It was our first time since the re-opening and we thoroughly enjoyed it (2 x adult 3 x teenager). Service was lovely and welcoming at the bar. The bar area seems to have mainly small round tables, which meant it was difficult to find somewhere for a family group to sit and eat but we were able to find a good table in the restaurant area - which had the added bonus of really good table service even though it was quite busy. Prices were reasonable and I thought the burger was one of the best I've had recently and definitely the tastiest in the local area. My daughter also thoroughly enjoyed the sausage and mash, and she is a bit of a sausage connoisseur. Top tip though, the skin on chips were fluffy and better than the fries that came with the burger. We'll definitely be heading back there to work through a bit more of the menu.

Had a great meal at the Moorend Spout, covid rules were adhered to by the staff who also reminded a couple of young men that they had to wear masks to enter and leave the pub and going to the loo. As previously stated, the food was very good and reasonable priced and the service was excellent. Earlier we had a drink in the garden, see photos.
