   I was completely abandoned by this solicitors office, if I could leave 0 stars I would. I’ve paid thousands to them and I am no further forward than I started with them in January. My solicitor moved jobs, this solicitor told me they couldn’t keep me as a client, asked me to sign a mandate to move and then I didn’t hear from the solicitor I moved with. This company has then said they can’t help me. Meanwhile my kids and my mental health are suffering even more, because of how I’ve been treated. If your case is complex, I would recommend finding a different solicitor.

   Did not have a good experience here after a consultation with David. I was really anxious about going due to the nature of the topics being discussed and he made me feel anything but at ease. I had prepared documentation for him to look at which went into more detail about the issues I was having, he didn’t look at 50% of it, or fully listen to my issue, before telling me I didn’t have a case, that he wasn’t looking to take on any legal aid work (despite me never mentioning legal aid by this point), and that he didn’t want to go to courts in Dumbarton. The whole thing lasted no more than 10 minutes and I was offered no actual advice other than to take it up with another lawyer if I wanted a second opinion. My issues were completely looked down upon and made to feel unimportant which definitely is not true. It felt as if the only thing he wanted was me out of the office. I appreciate that I may not have a case, but it should not have been handled the way it was, and I don’t think any lawyer can confidently say whether or not someone has a case without fully listening to the client and going over the documentation they provided first. Very disappointed in this practice. Reception staff were lovely.

   The worst lawyers I've ever encountered I spent £1,000 here, and getting a response from them was like finding a needle in a haystack. It's extremely difficult to get any communication. Your case will add to your stress, and trying to get a response from them will make your life a living hell. I lost 6 months and made zero progress. Please, don't give them your business—they desperately need a course on effective communication. Stay away at all costs. I raised the issue of poor communication multiple times, and each time they apologized via email, but nothing changed. You're better off paying more for a better lawyer.

   Used walker laird for a change of mortgage and would not recommend them to anyone. completion dates mean nothing to this company, getting any information or an update from them is like getting blood from a stone. When you call dont bother leaving them a message when you cant get through ( all the time) as they apparently dont know how to work phones and return messages. On a positive note the receptionists were very polite and as helpful as they could be , shame that couldn't be said for their solicitors who tut and huff when asked questions they cant be bothered answering because its nearly lunch time. AVOID
