Lovely drivers when they show up, but that's the third time I've tried to pre-book and they don't show up in time so I miss my appointment. They essentially don't offer a prebooking service.
Dreadful company. Was being picked up from the airport. 25 minutes late. It was a cold day and all the taxi windows were open. The car was absolutely dreadful. The smell of smoke in the car was dreadful. Taxi driver had been smoking in the car. I was ill with the smoke as was my family. We coughed the whole journey. Driver closed the windows and we opened them again which didn’t please him. I contacted the company to make them aware. I was promised a call back the next day. Surprise surprise it never happened. Would never use the is company again.
One week ago tonight my husband booked a taxi with Z Cars, to be picked up at the airport, he was instructed to phone their office when we had landed, which he did do at 16:45 pm, we were told to go to zone A to be picked up by our taxi which was on route, after waiting in freezing zone A for an HOUR and several calls to the office looking for our cab, it finally arrived at 18:00 pm. No apology or information as to why he was so late, I asked him where he had come from and that we had been waiting for an hour in the cold, the reply I got from the driver was disgraceful, he said it wasn’t his fault and I would see why he was late, if I wasn’t happy he would stop and I could get another taxi, he also mentioned it was in his contract to put me out of his taxi as I was making him feel uncomfortable, I said I was only speaking to him was I not allowed to do this, I told him I had been ill for the past four weeks with type A Influenza (got Doctors permission to travel) he replied I’m sick too but I’m still coming out to work and not making any money on this job, your not the only person that’s been sick, I have never met a taxi driver that is so rude/cheeky he has no idea how to speak to members of the public. I stopped talking to him as I was beginning to feel poorly and just wanted to get home. The traffic on the motorway was terrible this is why he was late, but any driver especially a taxi driver should know it’s always nose to tail traffic at that time of night so should have left the depot earlier. I got a further chest infection and have been in bed recovering for the past week. A very unhappy customer.
Used Z cars for years mainly for Airport drop off’s and the very occasional drop off into the city centre. I book a taxi in advance for the airport and it is NEVER on time. I will need to find another company to use as the service is just poor. Even when booking the taxi in advance and explaining it’s an airport drop off which clearly means it needs to be on time as a flight to catch it never ever is. Even the driver doesn’t apologies for showing up late. No urgency or care for the client. This had happened at least 95% of the time recently and it’s just shocking.
I had car trouble, yesterday (Wednesday),so I booked a taxi at roughly 9pm to pick me up at 4.30am for a 5am start. By 4.50am,still no car. So I phoned Z cars to be told that even though I'd booked. I wasn't guaranteed a car at that time!! What's the point in booking the night before then,or at all? The person on the other end of the phone then proceeded to pick an argument with me,by saying that half an hour wasn't enough time for the journey I was doing? I'm well aware of how long it takes,as I drive it every morning. I asked the driver when he eventually appeared if they were busy? He said that a lot of the drivers like to hold out for airport jobs and the like at that time in the morning. When asked why? He said that it was only 20 minutes to the airport,and that where I was going took longer (Springburn)? When I pointed out that they actually pass Springburn to get to the airport,it must be a shorter journey?I arrived at work in 23 minutes,shooting the controllers estimate to ribbons. I called them back to let them know this,and had the phone put down on me. I tried again,and was met with no answer. Not very professional all round from a company that promotes professionalism & friendliness and "on hand 24 hours a day to meet your transportation needs" according to their website. If the bosses read these? Maybe a wee customer service course wouldn't go amiss for the delightful lady I had the privilege of speaking with this morning.
Shocking service. My wife booked a taxi last night for school pick up this morning and you left her standing outside primary school for over an hour
My wife had booked a taxi for pick up at 7.25am this morning. Taxi never arrived and booking status on App changed to cancelled at the time of pick up. Taxi was booked to take my wife to the train station.
This used to be a great taxi company, but since the pandemic, they have gone downhill. They hiked the prices uplike Glasgow Cabs did and now you more or less have to wait ages for a taxi because they don't have enough drivers. Happily take your money, but the service is garbage. As a family we put a lot of money into their coffers. Sad to say that after waiting OVER an hour this evening to get a taxi home from Kingsgate I think we'll be looking at other companies from now on. The 3 owners need to sort this out. On a major plus side though, all the drivers do a cracking job, but under difficult circumstances
