Recently visited this inspiring College. The Building Crafts College clearly provides the highest levels of construction crafts teaching. The students are enthusiastic, motivated and engaged and are taught by experienced, dedicated teaching staff who are, in turn, led by an excellent management team. Keep up the brilliant work and results!

As an individual running a versatile Conservation Studio in West London, I was invited to visit last week the Worshipful Company of Carpenters' Building Crafts College, alongside Stratford Station in East London. My colleagues and I were blown away by the staggering level and variety of instruction available to students and makers at all levels, from beginners, to true professionals. There was an atmosphere of deep concentration as we watched the students working on pieces they had created over the past year, already having mastered so many skills. What a place of sheer excellence, run by a dedicated and inspirational College Principal, Selena Bolingbroke. In this day and age the ability to learn a craft is vital and I wish I could have my life again to attend this magical college of creativity which would not exist but for the dedication of the Worshipful Company of Carpenters. It is a beacon of excellence and an irreplaceable source of education for those creative with their hands, whether in roof carpentry, in brickwork for construction or in decorative sculpture.

Toured this fascinating place today. How inspiring to see such dedication to the traditional crafts and trades as well as the commitment of the staff and teachers. Students learn valuable skills and connect with potential employers and professional opportunities. They even have a place on their website where you can connect with students and buy their handmade furniture. Kudos to all!

What a wonderful College! The working environment is state of the art, and the teaching team are highly knowledgeable and very supportive. The College easy to get to and is directly outside the Stratford station. You will not be disappointed if you chose to do a construction course here!

The one star given is directed at the main building. The campus building on Gibbins Road is another story. There are 4 teachers who teach a multipy of trades within the building construction and maintenance areas. Their teaching is second to none and they teach the traditional way of doing things. They invest time and patience into all their students, young and old. I would recommend anyone who is interested in a career in building construction or maintenance to check these guys out.

Brilliant place for socially distanced evening woodworking course... and more professional, vocational, fulltime courses in traditional and heritage building skills. Fantastic teacher and great supportive encouraging atmosphere.

Poor quality teaching and management. No real interest in their students apart from collecting the fees. If you are looking for creativity and a change in career please apply elsewhere.

My honest feelings about this college are that the teachers are good but the admin is rubbish. I had to send multiple emails and had to ring them multiple times to get a reply. I was passed back and forth many, many times. Even when studying there and I applied for my apprenticeship oyster card I was sent an email by gov.co.uk saying that the college had not sent them the correct details and they were going to cancel it. Once you're in class it's fine but all before that is a disaster. Tim their head of something is also incredibly rude.

The teachers are fine. They know what they are doing. But reception and the admin staff never get back to you. You have to ring and e-mail multiple times before getting a response.
