Great lecturers who are very helpful and supportive. All staff are friendly, great advice if you're not sure what career path to take.

Pick and choose the rules of who can be on their courses, then argue that they are inclusive and non discriminatory. Little kid rules also in a grown up setting, no hats etc. what a nonsense place.

This college has a dangerous and terrible atmosphere. My child has been attending this college for a month now and he comes home crying because of the terrible bullying happening on a daily basis from not just the students but the teachers too! I really do not recommend applying for the college as the college does nothing to help anyone's mental health. The group tutorial is a waste of time and it leads to my child feeling pressured because of the one to one sessions due to his severe autism. If i could rate this with negatives stars I really could.

I been applied for course online, they sended me email on july to tell me how excited they are I want join them in september. Send me links how school life looks like and all about inside and out life of college. And from that thrilled message- they completely ignored me , even didnt let me know about another options if not course ,then something else coz I was applied for 2 types of courses. No answer and nothing. Even didn't bother let me know if they not accept my application- I would look somewhere else... it's just waste a time of life.. why they bother post courses in online what is available, if after they just completely ignore. Would say avoid to all my close people..

What is the point in having a 'withdraw' application button if it doesn't bloody work? You have not gotten back to anyone shortly, if this is what you must do to keep students its no wonder this school has 3.4 stars.

Midkent is a good supportive environment for young people with many interesting courses at different levels including GCSE, Btech, A levels and many more

It is in gillingham town and seems like a nice place. I don’t have much to comment on the education provider but I went on a function there the auditorium and welcomeness was awesome.. The function was well managed by the organisation. The college infrastructure seemed great

I've been a Midkent College Student since September 2020 and I've got 2 years left till 2024 that I will be off to uni. I did get an experience and I know what to say. it was so different to school. I would like to truly say my advantages and disadvantages of the college, which helps you to find out if Midkent College is for you or not. POSITIVES 1. It is very different to school and we are always treated like adults as well as treating the college like a workplace in which I really loved about the college. I loved the calm atmosphere of the LRC, which makes me become more concentrated with my tasks. This made me so happy, calm and safe. I really loved it there. 2. Staff are always willing to help if you feel very stressed, emotional or upset. They always sit you down or move you to a private place and was also able to listen to you and take key to what's been said. It was so much better for me than the way it was at school as I feel a little unsupported and ignored then. But college was much more of a better environment and even very active and happy 3. Lessons can become interesting as I've studied Level 1 and Level 2 in Health and Social Care, my tutors know their subjects well and are always interested in helping out whenever I struggle with a specific task. That way it helped me to learn something new and improve my skills rather than just knowing nothing. I was so proud of myself including my qualifications, it was great!!!!!! NEGATIVES 1. The foods at Costa can become very overpriced because when I was a new student, I used to buy a Shortbread of 45p, but later on, it went up to £1.00 to £1.05, which literally shocked me as well as the canteen foods are overpriced as well. I remember buying a four item breakfast of £1.45 before it gone up to £1.65, really........... Also foods there can be quite disgusting, their pasta dishes mainly tend to look like food from a nursery because they pasta is always dry especially when it's also been cooked through or when it's already hit. I don't know what happened there, they need to try more harder in their pasta dishes because I remembered the time having macaroni Cheese there I nearly threw up but I do like macaroni Cheese generally though, but it's just the way they cooked it. Their desserts tends to taste a little bit like a trashbin, especially when it comes to their fruit crumble, I had a problem with the fruit filling as it tastes as if they've used a same pot to cook sour foods, didn't wash it properly and straight away put the fruits in to stew, that was what it tasted like in me, if that was what it was, please try a bit harder to keep your foods clean. I do like fruit crumble generally as well. 2. Some staff outside of class can be very rude and ignorant sometimes, especially the senior leaders as they refuse to help out with anything to deal with facilities or studying for instance. There is no support from them, no advice, nothing from them, they will just bug you off and that's a really bad thing to do. I felt very hurt once. 3. The network at college can be worst sometimes as it doesn't tend to properly work in some rooms such as the canteen, pavilion, toilets and maybe some classrooms. The connection there is not good enough and the IT never get enough time to sort it, which later got students and staff really stressed out by the end of the day. I had to stress myself to take my phone outside, especially in Lessons. Hopefully some of you might have learnt from my experience with the college.
