Great garage with friendly staff and fair prices. All my questions were answered well and they managed to squeeze in my MOT on the same day (I had only booked a service). I will definitely be using this garage again. Thank you!
Called them to book for mot, based on the customer reviews they seemed to be pretty decent. I kind of knew what my car will fail on, so called half a day through to ask how it went. The lady over the phone told me it failed on certain thing, so I said fine, I presumed it will, but I have parts and my own mechanic already booked so I'll collect the car and will fix it myslef, which I did. When collecting they told me there were a couple of bulbs failling so they've changed it (ok, my first red flag.... why haven't they called me asking if I want them changed...?). Ok, collected the car, took it to my mechanic who happened to have time that evening. Ok, fixed it, came beack to the garage the next day to redo mot. Left the car with the garage then around mid day been called that the car is ready. Happy went to collect it to find that they polished my headlights (another red flag - why haven't I been asked before the procedure? I was planning on the headlights another service, but hey ho!!) .... So paid and left to check the invoice that all the services, except mot cost, were put up as a one price, so no breakdown of bulb price, or the headlight polish, which I did not asked for! So I must indicate that mot was £54, and the other costs (bulbs and polish) around £49 plus VAT (obviously!). This is simply pulling up the costs for something I did not ask for. Despite customer service is not bad, but I presume is not reliable and responsible to inform their customers of hidden and not relevant to the service costs. Probably used the the last time. I don't like to be conned!
Always a superb level of service. GCS have fixed lots of problems that other garages have previously got stuck on. Great work & fair prices. They help me keep a van with nearly 500,000 miles on the clock running beautifully. Trust them 100 per cent for all the stuff they do.
Always helpful and informative; Steve and the team are excellent. They definitely live up to the name Genuine Car Services! My family have used this garage for generations and I will always recommend them. They look after their customers very well, are reasonably priced, and friendly. I even drive (or will get towed!) from Radstock for them to service my vehicles . A*

Trustworthy and helpful as ever! With our van in for service with GCS again, they charged and tested the battery on our van overnight. Confirming we needed a new one, they replaced it with exactly the unit I wanted, all error checked and recoded, for a very reasonable price. Van's way happier... Thank you GCS.
I’m always wary of garages as they can take advantage of your lack of knowledge. However, I’ve never been happier than with Genuine Car Services. They’ve done my MOT for several years now and never add on things that don’t need doing. They also recently repaired my car after a breakdown, and had a really extensive chat with me beforehand about the parts needed and the cost. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a reliable and honest car garage. 5 stars

When we moved to Bath I used social media to ask for recommendations for a reliable and reasonable car maintenance workshop, several people suggested Genuine Car Services so I gave them a try. That was all nearly ten years ago and I wouldn't dream of taking my car anywhere else; annual service, MOT, emergency repairs......they do everything. Above all I've found them very efficient and at a reasonable cost, in fact on occasions they've had to persuade me not to have work done. Times can't have been easy first them during Covid and with current energy problems but they remain cheerful and they'll certainly be keeping my business.
