Our wee old pup had his first appointment today with Ben. A lot of care and attention was taken when we arrived as our dog is a senior. Ben was very gentle and caring. Our dog left a very happy pup, smelling amazing with a smart new haircut. It was obvious that care had been taken to make sure our boy was comfortable. Thank you and see you again ☺️
We feel so lucky to have found Ben! He does such a fantastic cut for Oscar, our 12 year old Shih Tzu, and he is also a delightful person to chat with. Cannot recommend him highly enough! He is so thorough and attentive with the taking of our brief. It’s a very detailed ‘consultation’ before he starts the cut. And he also clearly adores dogs, and is very gentle and caring with our old boy! Would like to include a photo of Oscar after his cut - but sorry, I can’t see how to add one!
Ben at Grooming Marvellous is absolutely amazing. He takes such great care of my Saffy Darling, and she always smells wonderful when she leaves after her grooming — something that was missing from other popular dog grooming places we tried before finding Ben. His studio is consistently clean, and it never smells like 'wet dogs,' which shows he maintains a high standard of cleanliness for both the space and the equipment. Highly recommend!
We have been going to Grooming Marvellous for three years and absolutely love Ben and his establishment. Ben is so wonderfully kind and gives an amazing haircut to our Pomeranian Finn every time. Ben is organized, timely, and very gentle with our notoriously fickle dog Finn. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality dog groomer in Edinburgh.
Ben is a wonderful groomer. I've been taking my two dogs to him for over 5 years. The dogs love him and are always happy to see him and calm when I return to collect them. He does a great job every time and is always pleasant and charming to deal with. I can't recommend him highly enough.
We are very, very happy with the service we get here. They work hard to offer something different from the places that have loads of dogs in at once and can take hours. You know it is either Ben or Ailsa who will see your dog and they get to know them and what they need. It is a small establishment, seeing one client at a time and that does mean you need to be there to drop off and collect at the agreed time, but surely that is just to be expected and valued and not something to complain about?? The cut is always first class. We would very highly recommend it to anyone
I've been a long time customer of Grooming Marvellous and went from having one hound groomed there to two. Ben has been grooming (hand-stripping) my two wirehaired dachshunds for a few years now, and not only is he a fantastic groomer - which is great to find for a wire coat, particularly as both hounds have different wire coat types and slightly different needs - but one of my lads can be very anxious when handled, and Ben is amazing with him. If you have an anxious dog, you'll know the importance of finding a groomer who has experience and can create a sense of calm, and that's meant SO much to me - knowing that I can leave the lads with Ben and they're in safe hands and won't be stressed. To me, that's just as important as the quality of the groom, and I really appreciate that. So yes, would highly recommend.
I have been a customer of Grooming Marvelous for several years and I have to say Ben does a great job, but I have just been told he refuses to do my dogs now, after waiting weeks, because HE said I was 30 minutes late and in the future he will not do them again. I did miss two appointments but paid him £80 for the last missed one. He has become arrogant and rude. He has treated other people badly as well. People that I recommended to him. My appointment WAS a 11, not at 1130. He said he left a message, but I didn't see it. He could have accommodated me, but no, he just turned us away. Terrible customer service. He bragged that he has now turned lots of people away! Really? Great doing business with a person like this! Don't bother.
Delighted with the cut of my Mini Schnauzer, they are difficult to get right and Ailsa got it spot on. Jake came away very happy, and smart.
