    Do not use this garage. I took my car here because the alternator had gone. I just about got the car there which I explained to the mechanic. They told me the battery was flat and this was the problem. Even when I challenged them and told them that of course the battery was flat because the alternator was not charging it they ignored me and said they diagnosed a battery problem. When I went to pick my car up all they had done was recharge my battery and they tried to tell me that my cigarette lighter was draining the battery when the car engine was off! I also had to pay for the privilege of this. When I challenged them again they told me to come back tomorrow (when they are closed) and he would call an electrician for a drainage problem. My car wasn’t drivable because the alternator is gone. If I had driven it I could have caused a huge accident because it would have totally died and I would have lost my steering completely. Let alone be able to return to the garage another day. I now have to wait for the RAC to tow me somewhere else. I have never been to a garage where they failed to actually fix my car and then failed to take responsibility for that and charged me! Never use this garage they don’t know what they are talking about! If I could give 0stars I would!

    Have been using this garage for my MOTs for years. I recently used them for some work to my exhaust and they replaced it in the same day and I was happy with the cost. I trust this garage and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Friendly and helpful. Thank you from Lucinda

    I've used this garage since I moved back to the UK in 2012. It used to be great and reasonably priced but, as others have said, it has really gone downhill in the past couple of years. Since the previous manager left, the garage is now being run by the owner and EVERYTHING is too much effort for him. If you just need an MOT or brake pads replacing you'll probably be okay but don't bother if you need any non-generic parts. He'll promise to get the parts and call you back but he never will. And every time you chase up his non-response you will be met with a different excuse. He's basically not interested in doing any work that involves some effort on his part. His suggestion was that I sourced parts myself and then they would do the work! No thank you!

    I have filed this review with regret as I'm sure the fault isn't with the garage staff. Unfortunately the helpful manager who used to work there has left and the business is now run by the owner. I booked my car in for the MOT and drove it there at the time requested but was told to 'put it in the car park'. Waited all day to find out eventually that it had failed, no one rang, and asked what it would cost to repair. I eventually had a very aggressive call back to give a price with no idea when they could do the work. It took them weeks and constant chasing before they got the parts and by then it was over 10 days since the MOT. When I eventually took it in for repair they had no booking for that day! It also took a further 2 weeks, more parts and the job only half done! Absolutely shocking! Zero communication and a total lack of customer care. I reluctantly paid for the work they did and have taken it elsewhere. I wish I had done that in the first place, be warned.

    Have used this garage for years, used to be very good. New owner/manager has no customer service skills. Absolutely shocking service now, took my car in for its MOT. Not kept updated, very vague on pricing. Not the mechanics fault but the new the new people in charge are very rude, seemed to make the price up on the spot, wouldn’t give me a breakdown of costs before the work was done. Would not recommend this garage, will not be returning

    the workshop does not answer the phone. MOT took 4 days. they say they called but no response (which is a lie) the prices they send in the message are different from the ones you have to pay. Owner of blue civic

    I went for an MOT. I went to the Js garage in BS9 1LL. A mix up at the start, but the staff were very accommodating and picked up my car from the location it was, as there was a mix up of which garage. The service was a 10/10 very friendly and helpful staff. Charged me only for what was needed but advised me for future repairs. Thank you very much!

    I have used this garage for at least 15 years, since the change in management it has REALLY gone downhill. I broke down with a faulty clutch. I went to the garage on a Friday, as they were busy I could not book in until the following Thursday. I went in the Wednesday and was told I would now have to wait until the following Tuesday. I then heard nothing from them at all! I have now stopped using this garage and suggest you do the same!

    Cheap and fast MOT for my 2004 clio. Β£130 all in as there were some repairs. In and out on the same day. Customer service could have been a little better, was waiting at the reception for a while with no one coming
