   Recently moved to the area so used the garage for the first time. Had a service, 2 new tyres (requested by me) and aircon recharge. The work was done really efficiently and for what I think was a very fair price. I will be using Downfield again going forward. Really nice men working there too.

   Called around for some quotes to replace the gearbox and clutch in my Ford Focus, and Downfield Garage came back with the most reasonable price, so I booked the work in. So glad I went with them - the mechanics were really clear about the work they were carrying out, the quality of the repair has thus far been excellent and no issues 2 weeks on. Found my new local garage!

   This is my son's account as I am staying with him in Derby. I bought a so say new exhaust from this garage 2 years ago and recently visited the garage because my engine was noisy. The mechanic informed me that the exhaust had rusted and there was hole in the exhaust. He then assured me that my car was perfectly safe to drive from Bristol to Derby. I took car into a reputable garage today and I have to pay £500 for a new exhaust being fitted as I write this. The mechanics were so disgusted with the previous shoddy workmanship. When they removed the bolt the exhaust snapped in half. It was such a shoddy job that they have taken photographs do that I can give evidence to trading standards. The mechanic at Downfield road garage had given me dangerous advice, because in addition to fumes engulfing the car, the exhaust could gave fallen off on the motorway. Please see attached photos as evidence and avoid this garage at all costs.
