I have been taking my cars to elite for years now. Always very reliable and trustworthy. My recent MOT & service was carried out swiftly and labour / parts charged at a fair price and I was consulted throughout the process. In my experience, fair cheaper than main dealer / specialist but still very experienced. The additional car discount is handy and my partner (non Volvo) makes use of this also.
Came here for the 1st Service of my Volvo S90. Having been initially quoted £275 from City “rip-off” Motors who then said I can get it done for £199 if I sign up to a 3 year service plan. I explained that I only have the car on a 2 year lease but this didn’t seem to compute with them and they continued to pedal the “advantages” of the plan including picking up and delivering the car back. Elite were polite and courteous from the first call and their price was almost half the initial quote above which for an initial service on a car that has 6000 miles is entirely reasonable in my opinion. Don’t let main dealers scare you by saying that you have to use them to keep the warranty valid. It’s BS. Elite use genuine Volvo parts and follow the manufacturers guidelines. And guess what, they even picked up my car from work and dropped it back again at no extra charge. Fantastic, friendly, local business that should be supported by all Volvo customers.
Fixed an intermittent fault at the second attempt - City Motors had looked at my Volvo over half a dozen times, but could not fix it. They wanted me to spend £800 on a new CEM even though it might not (and as it turns out, would not) have fixed the fault. There would have been no refund either. Elite knew where to look and had a clear plan - a good job done at a fraction of the City Motors' cost.
I have used this for the last 30 years with several Volvo's, even bought one from here some years back. Labour Prices are reasonable (30% off for my other family car) and they are very helpful The fact that they have all the Volvo equipment is a plus, I have had services elsewhere in the past but not to the detail thats done here particularly with electronic issues.
Elite fitted a reconditioned steering rack, 2 wishbone bushes and an MOT. Quoted price £500. Actual Cost £996 The vehicle passed the MOT test with a faulty rear seat belt. The new steering rack was fitted, and the steering fluid was NOT refilled, which damaged the steering pump. I changed the pump and refilled the fluid myself to make sure that the job was actually done properly. I will not be going back to Elite.
I have been taking my Volvo's to Elite for several year now. I have always been completely satisfied with the work they carry out - MOT's, Services etc. The owners Chris and Steve and their staff are always polite and friendly, and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They keep me updated through the course of the day, with progress on my car-NEVER a shock, when I get their bill... Very competitive prices- an all round professional team.
