As a female, I often find it difficult going to garages and do find being 'ripped off' the norm. However I am so relieved this is my local garage. They're all friendly, helpful and they only charge you for what you need. I have used them 4 times now, mot, service, etc and not once have they 'blinded me with science!' and have always explained what's needed and what's not. Great service guys- thank you so much.

Solid, trustworthy garage. Took car in for a service and MOT, clearly explained which bits were needed to pass and which bits were nice to haves. My car has been to two other garages and has never driven as true and quiet as it does now. They fixed an issue that's been annoying me for two years which they admitted was hard to track which I guess is why the other garages didn't bother. They fixed my alignment which has been out for years and accommodated my need to drop the car off a day early. Will be back

Very professional, trustworthy garage, we always take our cars here. They always try and fit you in and will only complete work that is required, highly recommended

Untrustworthy. My poor mum took her car for an MOT here. It was fine when it went in and passed. She brought the car home and the next day, when she went to drive the car, red lights came on, and it started driving badly/making noises. She called the garage owner, who said it had nothing to do with them and that they couldn’t see the car for another two weeks, but that she was fine to keep driving it (she didn’t). My mum managed to speak to a mechanic who works for the owner as well as someone who works for the AA and both said this sometimes happens after a MOT emissions test, but that it’s fine to drive as long as it’s petrol (unfortunately it’s diesel). My mum is a palliative care nurse who sometimes drives 100 miles a day and no longer has a safe car to use. The garage isn’t accepting any responsibility and has now quoted her more than £200 to replace the fuel injector they clearly damaged. She’ll of course take the work elsewhere. Be warned.

Always friendly and professional. Nothing too much trouble and very reasonable rates. Have used them many times and will continue to do so.

Phoned around loads of garages for a quad bike mot and nobody's interested to the point excuses are made... not this company they are more than happy to mot a quad, so if you need a quad mot they'll sort you out

It is so nice, as a female customer, not to feel vulnerable or patronised at a garage. I find Paul to be honest and helpful. He was able to squeeze my car in for a job that another garage said could only be done via the main dealer. Although tricky Paul said it took 15 minutes and charged £30 (where else do you get charged less than £50) I would highly recommend Blake & Squires.

Managed to fit me in the same week when I realised my MOT was due to expire - they were really busy too! Very helpful and informative chap explained a couple of minor advisories. Thanks to Blake & Squires, my MOT remained continuous. Very impressed!
