Utterly useless. I've been waiting since last August for my compensation regarding a mis- sold Free Standing AVC that cost me thousands in lost pension. Agreed a figure 5 weeks ago sent confirmation of my identity and bank details and I'm still waiting. Also I've moved a pension away from Standard Life because these clowns have taken over Standard Life Avoid Phoenix Life If you possibly can. Remove your funds from their clutches I ended up contacting the CEO and I'm a shareholder...nothing works. Its all about prevarication and delay. Avoid Avoid Avoid

Been trying to cash in an old pension and I keep getting messed about an absolute joke of a company , I get the impression that they don't want to give me my money . This must be the only company left in the world that doesn't use email everything has to be done by letter and you constantly have to call them to chase them up and to insure they have received the letter .

My aunt passed away and I notified them of her passing. They do not have a joined up approach given the myriad of companies and brands that sit within the Group. Have been waiting nearly 2 hours now to speak to someone using various phone lines. This is an appalling customer experience let alone dealing with a very difficult circumstances, a bereavement.

As a financial adviser we rely on obtaining information from insurance companies quickly so we can help our clients. When I hear the name 'Phoenix' my heart sinks. Sent them request 3 weeks ago but they (Glasgow) say the email address they supplied does not exist! If you are retiring and have a Phoenix policy - start the process at least 3 months before. Phoenix is where good service goes to die!

This company cannot be trusted. The policy was paid for nearly 4 decades with the belief that there would be a final bonus, just to be told there is none and the policy is not worth much more than the money paid into it. Avoid this company. The whole situation equals to a financial fraud.
