    WARNING: Severe Data Breach & Obstruction - DO NOT USE GALLAGHERS I am writing this review to detail an experience with Gallaghers that progressed from poor customer service to a serious data privacy breach, which I believe potential clients must be aware of. I cannot recommend Gallaghers under any circumstances. 1. Obstruction of Essential Documentation My initial difficulty stemmed from the active obstruction in obtaining a copy of our block insurance policy, which is our legal right as leaseholders. The Account Manager, Andy Blackmore, made the process unnecessarily challenging and delayed. 2. Catastrophic Data Breach and GDPR Violation The situation became critically serious when Account Manager Andy Blackmore committed a severe breach of my personal data. Confidential information regarding me was leaked and sent to my landlord without any lawful basis or purpose. This unauthorised disclosure of confidential data immediately resulted in direct, severe consequences: my landlord proceeded to engage in a course of threatening and abusive behaviour towards me, a situation directly catalyzed by Gallaghers' negligence. Gallaghers did admit that they had no lawful purpose to have leaked the data. It is a monumental concern that a financial services company like Gallaghers has such insufficient control over personal data and employs staff who demonstrate this level of professional incompetence and disregard for client privacy and GDPR regulations. 3. Uninterested Response to Formal Complaint Following this severe data breach, I raised a formal complaint, expecting immediate action and concern. Instead, the company was entirely uninterested in dealing with the severity of the issue, requiring me to chase for any form of response. This indifference demonstrates a fundamentally flawed company ethos and a lack of accountability, confirming that the initial data breach was not an isolated anomaly but indicative of a wider corporate failure. Prospective customers/clients should view this experience—especially the willingness of an Account Manager to leak confidential personal data and the subsequent corporate failure to address it—as a significant red flag. Trust and legal compliance are paramount in this industry, and Gallaghers failed on both counts spectacularly.

    My insurance was due for renewal, the renewal price in particular the broker fee was ridiculously high so I declined to renew. They then proceeded to phone, text and email me every single day for 2 weeks, even past my renewal date. Not sure if they continued because I blocked them. I wouldn’t ever go near them again.

    Avoid at all costs appalling service, staff unhelpful and seem to have too heavy a workload to offer decent reliable service, gave up on claim after six frustrating months

    Avoid at all cost. Had car insurance for step son. He spilt from his partner and she cancelled direct debit. We changed bank details and brought account into credit. No payment was taken the following month. When we enquired about it we found that all the steps that we had taken to correct the payments had been passed to the manager but we're left in their inbox for 2 weeks. They cancelled the insurance despite all of our efforts.

    I have my home insurance with then, but unfortunately for me, the broker for them didn't inform me of the upcoming debit charge, which took me by surprise, here's me thinking I was being scammed. Upon speaking to them I was assured that there was a mix-up on my end which there was. They were very nice and courteous through all my ramblings, and all is now sorted and forgiven.
